That's probably one of the best scenes in any show this season. I particularly loved Dexter's simple "would you?" when Doakes told him to give up. They understand each other more than they'd care to admit.

Yeah, he's an incredible actor. After seeing him for so long in Six Feet Under, watching the first episode of Dexter was like culture shock.

Did anyone else find it kind of awkward at first to see him sexin' up the ladies after Six Feet Under? My brain knows on a conscious level that Hall, David, and Dexter are all different people, but I just subconsciously found myself going "this is kinda weird" when he and Lila were getting all naked.

i never saw 6 feet under, even though i heard it was a great show, but once i started watching Dexter, i realized how MCH does a excellent job acting

The only thing I'm worrying about is how long of a break they'll take. It seemed like over a year between either the first and second or the second and third seasons; I can't remember which.
