A sick demented **** is more suited to what he would be instead of just general "bad guy". And the whole point of it is to NOT see it happening or expect it.

How would you know how good it would be? You obviously had no suspicion of him before hand. Its not like it would have been predictable.

Super-surprising twists are usually lame to me. Even in the first season of Dexter, I thought it was great right up until we find that Brian is Dexter's long-lost brother. Long-lost relatives that appear out of nowhere? Almost always a bad idea. Granted, it was done better in Dexter than in most other places, but those kinds of surprises that have no groundwork laid beforehand and just sort of happen are usually not good. I like seeing things build towards their payoff.

Yeah, I saw that looking back after I already knew about Brian, but hindsight's 20/20. For all we know, the fact that Masuka's such a goofy weirdo is a clue about his sexual predatoriness. That wouldn't make it less lame.

i doubt masuka will have any big parts in the next few episodes, just comic relief. LaGuertas meant to be the *****, Deb is meant to be tragic and keep dex 'human', rita and the kids same as deb but in a diff way, masuka for comic relief, doakes to challenge dex, batista to all in all just be dex's friend, he seems to be the one to find the little things that lead into big things, like brian mosers finger prints, not so 'little' but led to huge things.

I am not ruling out the idea of Masuka being a predator, but I can confidentally say that it won't happen this season at least.

I also don't think he will be a predator mostly because without him there is no more comic relief. Most of the humor comes from him in some form.

I would've said the same thing a while ago. Lately though, Dex's inner thoughts have provided as much humor for me as Masuka is supposed to.

Yeah, but Doakes is still the prime suspect in the BHB cases. If Dex can figure out a way to twist the evidence even more to point Doakes, he may be able to get away with everything without killing him. Everyone also thinks Doakes is a headcase with an obsession for Dex.

I know it's a little soon but I'm worried about Season 3. I mean, what plot could be better than this? It's just impossible.

I found this weeks episode a little convoluted. The climbing out of the window to dispose of the body. Doakes following him by GPS. Dexter defeating Doakes whilst unarmed and handcuffed. Getting shot. Etc, etc, etc.

Great stuff but even by Dexters standards a bit silly. Scott Glen is doing a great job though.

well i dont think its unlike dexter..he sneaks around all the time, he HAD to dispose of the body, however i woulda just thrown it in the water and got the hell outta there, let the gators take care of it, why bother bagging it? but dex isnt a p****, he can fight. all he had to do was put the cuffs around doakes neck and it was over. he got shot yes, but he was working on pure adrenaline, survival mode, doakes never had a chance.

Simply put, you're wrong. **** has to start happening at some point, what do you want them to do, cram it all into the last episode?
