in paris? surely he didnt fly there, kill lila, and fly straight back....he had black gloves on, but also a nice black collared shirt...was he there with rita or something on vacation and right before leaving took out lila?

I would love to see it end with him at old age, just about to die from natural causes, with a smile on his face that he was never caught!

Agreed! As fitting as it would be for Dexter to get offed somehow, I think it would be even better to see him get away and live his entire life without getting caught.

How sweet and satisfying it would be.

I finished watching season 1 on dvd and it was awesome. I can't wait for season 2 to get on dvd. I know it will be a while from now though since the season isn't over yet.

Oh my god, tonight's episode was amazing!

I don't know how they will fix this, the only way out is for Doakes to die somehow, I love the character and wish that wouldn't happen but I can't see how Dex will walk out of this one as a free man.

And omg, I HATE Lilah (sp?).

i thought of a perfect series finale, since ive seen this seasons finale, but i was thinking how the perfect twist type ending for the whole series would be that all the over voices in the show are actually dexter saying them like hes telling a story to someone, like all the seasons were just a long story to someone. it would be awesome seeing him still free and an old man, i dunno who he could be telling, maybe he catches cody and tells him, or tells rita, or even deb...

That sounds interesting, but there seems to be too much "in the present" type of narrating for it to work out that way.

Personally I think Dexter needs to be either caught or killed at the end of the series, it just wouldn´t be right to let the serial killer walk free and I have a hard time believing the writers/execs will go for that.

Plus I really want to see everyones reaction when they find out about Dex.

Just remember the "Hero" of the show is a serial killer, so him getting away is perfectly viable. They have portrayed Dexter as a good guy with a dark side, he kills only bad people.
