I would love for the series to end with Deb finding out he's the one basically responsible for how ****ed up her life is ([blackout]He's responsible for her dad's suicide/death, responsible for her almost getting killed by the IceTruck guy, responsible for this whole BayHarborButcher thing[/blackout]) and that he's the BHB and ends up taking him out, and the series ends with her holding Dexter's dead body (that she just shot) basically crying hysterically as it fades to black.

Huh, interesting, you do know it was her father the one responsible for Dexter right? so is not Dex that she should blame but her own dad. Dexter could have killed her but decided to kill his own brother instead so he woulndt go after Db later.And I hardly believe that Deb's dad comitted suicide because of what he saw Dex doing, more like "Oh crap, what have I done to you poor boy!!??" I got your mother killed, refused your brother as if he was a dog, neglected my own daughter and turned you into a monster plus i filled your head with lies and I cant handle it.!!! What to do, I know, I kill myself and let you 2 sort it out later. So , no, Dex have nothing nothing to do with Deb's life being messed up and all to try to help her.He didnt create his brother, he didnt turn him into a serial killer.

Yeah, Harry's at the root of a lot of problems, it seems. The first season painted him as a perfect father at first, willing to accept his son's unique urges and try to steer them into a productive direction, but we've since learned that Harry pretty much filled Dexter's head with the notion that he's an uncontrollable monster straight from the get-go, without ever really trying to offer Dex another path. He essentially condemned Dexter to a gruesome future devoid of emotion by not even suggesting that Dexter could possibly overcome his urges and be a normal human being.

I agree. The show has gotten a lot better since Dexter's sort of found out for himself that it actually is possible for him to have feelings and to care for others like "normal people" do. He's a lot more likeable as a character.

Totally. But I hope the book isn't closed on Harry now or anything. Every new revelation about Harry gives Dexter more depth, so I hope we keep learning more about both of them as the series progresses.

It sounds like the code of harry is going to morph into dexters own code. Really though hopefully it doesnt change too much because its the code that has kept him justified in his killings

Code or no code, I don't think Dexter'll ever cross that line and start killing indiscriminately. Like Doakes said, Dexter really does have a conscience, and that's all his own, not something Harry drilled into him.

Yeah, I do. He's not a bad person. He's an a**hole, but he's not a bad person. He's just caught up in a bad situation, and he's too principled to look the other way if Dexter lets him go.

I do, he knows about Dex so he obviously can't live but I love the character and I really wish there was a way around it, but he either needs to take the fall for the Butcher's crimes or die.

I wonder how much of what Doakes says about helping Dexter turn himself in is sincere, or if he's just trying to talk Dexter into releasing him so he can **** his **** up before taking him to the cops.

i think doakes really wants to help dexter. he sees what he is and why, i just wish they woulda discussed the ice truck killer being his brother. but doakes really wants to help dex. when dex killed the guy in front of doakes, doakes didnt wanna talk about him gettin free, he was trying to talk to dexter and help him realize he doesnt have to kill anyone, the scene last night where doakes is sittin on the bucket inside the cell and dexter outside sitting down was awesome....good and evil on 2 sides of a cage, ironic. it was a great scene

I sympathize with Doakes but like Dexter said it was his (Doakes) lack of a social life that led him to be obsessed with Dexter. I've already seen the season finale so I wont say anymore, except Im glad Doakes has become more interesting this season. Watching the scene where he breaks down and talks with Dexter is prob some of the best scenes from the series.

I haven't decided yet if the bonding is sincere. It's obvious Dexter's not conning Doakes; he has no reason to. Doakes, on the other hand, might just be playing Dexter.

i dont think so, doakes is a good man, and didnt "HATE" dexter til this season rolled around, he just knew something was wrong. he sympathized when he thought it was drugs (the NA meeting he followed dex to) then he wanted to help even when he found out he was the BHB.....i hope doakes returns for season 3, whether he lives or dies, if he lives, then him and dexter work on their...arrangement....if he dies, have him haunt dexter like brian did, but maybe ina good way... i think it would be cool if doakes ended up sending dexter names of people that get away, however, doakes does seem terrified of dexter after seeing what he does(his "sick-f***" rituals)

Yeah that was horrible. I like just the original music. There was a site where you could download all the music from the first season, can't remember it. None of this rap **** though, it was basically the composed musical soundtrack of the series.

Hey i loved the latest episode it was great and im really hoping theres a way doakes can stay alive without everyone finding out about dexter but i wont be able to watch the last episode next sunday so i finally found a website that let me download the last episode but its not working right.
Okay this is what happened i downloaded it in 4 parts and i had to download WinRar in order to play them but when it starts up on windows media player i can only listen to it, i cant see anything on the screen. The only hint i have as to whats wrong is that right before it starts to play it sais "Error downloading codec". Can anyone tell me what that means and how i can fix it, it would be very much appreciated.

try opening with divx instead of WMP.

Ok so, go back a week or two, before the leaks were out and before it was definate that Dexter would come back for Season 3, and look at this final stretch.

Without knowing that theres a season 3, I'd be totally oblivious to what the hell is going to happen, and think that ANYTHING, including the death of Dexter is possible.

But knowing theres a third season will ruin it all!
