What i don't like about the show is how they SUDDENLY dropped Laguerta's attraction to Dexter angle from season 1.

Last episode was great, seeing Dexter on the hunt again was a welcome relief from the family drama.

I was shocked when

Lundy was killed, I had 20 seconds earlier said to my brother "Lundy is so going to die" because I couldn't believe that Deb would ever get to be happy but I thought he wouldn't die until at least an episode or three down the road:wow:

yeah, I always thought they could play that side-plot around a bit more.

I think one of the twists this season will be that the Trinity killer does in fact have a family.

i highly doubt it. how are they going to explain the fact that TTK relocates for every new cycle of kills he carries out? not exactly easy as pie to move about all over the country when you have a wife and kids.

Probably because he never showed a hint of interest in her.

But I always got the impression they didn't really ever know what to do with Laguerta during the first season of Dexter. She came across almost incompetant for a while there...from memory...

Maybe he meant he had a family that he abandoned.

Or killed.

haha

Well remember, LaGuerta's painted as something of an unlikable b**** in the book.

Not to mention she got killed at the end of the first book.

I just caught up with this season last night. Wow what a season so far. Here is my theory on Trinity. If someone has already thought of it, my apologizes.

I believe, that the three people he kills represents his family when he was younger. The first woman represents his sister, the older woman represents his mother, and the man killed outside the bar represents his father. I think his father is the key here. He obviously had a drinking problem and I think that was the catalyst. I believe his sister committed suicide in the bathtub due to something his father did to her. Perhaps Trinity found her and saw her take her last breathe. That's why he had the mirror when he kills the woman in the bathtub. The mother committed suicide soon after because she could not deal with the grief and guilt. That's why he places a little bit of her ashes after he kills them. I then think Trinity killed his own father outside the bar when he was younger, because he blamed him for everything. The fact that family is a key theme this season helps add fire to the theory.

Whether or not I'm right, this season is shaping up to be a good one. I can't wait for Sunday.

An interesting theory. If that's how it ultimately played out, I certainly wouldn't mind. I don't think Trinity has a family now, though. I feel like the big subplot of Dexter trying to balance his family life with his Dark Passenger would be betrayed if Trinity ended up being what Dexter aspires to be. Every killer Dexter has encountered over the course of the series has been someone who's been a challenge for him, but the end result is always that Dexter proves himself to be the better killer, and better at catching other killers. Dexter has to prove that Trinity isn't uncatchable, despite everything he's done to keep his life simple and uncomplicated.

I totally agree. Trinity is a loner. Dexter is already curious about how Trinity has gotten away with things so long and once he sees Trinity, I think Dexter will try to get closer to him and follow him. We see them meeting at the church, I bet Dexter planned that to get closer to him.

As far as Lundy and Deb being shot, I think it could be Anton. I keep thinking about the call she got from him while she was having drinks with Lundy and she basically lied to him. What if he was at the bar as well and saw them? Just speculation I know. Deb's gun shot seemed to be meant to not kill her. Low and to the side away from major organs. Anton is smart enough to make it look like a robbery as well. Can't wait to see which way they go.

Where did you hear this?

It was at the end of the first episode this season. They showed previews of the whole season.

What? I hear about this for the first time.

lol, i don't get how anyone can say it's anton. it's just far-fetched and does not fit. anton has not shown any sort of indication toward violence whatsoever, he was nearly skinned alive last season, and his mild jealousy was just that, mild jealousy. it's such a stretch. the whole anton angle is really far-fetched, as is the female reporter angle (which i've aslo heard).

it was TTK. or the vacation killers.

ugh, doubt posts.

anyway, i'm really sick of deb and her trashy ways. i really wish she'd just stick to being a detective for a while. i'm tired of her being so crass and tacky and love sick. i like her only when she's dealing with work, as soon as it goes to romance she becomes unbearable.

sad about lundy, though. :(

Mine wasnt this long or thought out but I stated like 3 pages back that I though the first chick represented his sister and the mother his mom. Plus you can easily tell he has massive daddy issues and Ill bet thats who the 3rd vic represents again though mine wasnt nearly as though out as yours. Pretty solid theory

Couldn't agree more. Shes my least favorite character.

Can't wait to see what will Trinity do, when he find's out that Dex knows.

In the picture i post above, we see Trinity get rough with Dex, and Dex actually looks scared.

This is...interesting.
