I hope not. I love the character already. Every fan of Third rock from the sun knows what John is capable of. I'm very curious what is this amazing method that the Trinity killer, well kills.

Casting news

John Lithgow Joins Dexter Season Four
Source: Showtime
May 27, 2009

Academy Award-nominated and Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe award-winner John Lithgow will take on one of his most intense and intriguing roles to date portraying Miami's latest serial killer in Showtime's top-rated drama series "Dexter." Lithgow will be featured in all 12 episodes of season four which are scheduled to premiere Sunday, September 27th on Showtime.

Lithgow will play Walter Simmons, an unassuming, mild-mannered suburbanite who has been living a dual life as one of America's most prolific and deadliest serial killers. Dubbed the "Trinity Killer" because of his proclivity to kill in three's, he relocates to Miami after being tracked by F.B.I. Special Agent Frank Lundy (Keith Carradine). Brought on to assist in the investigation of Miami's latest serial killer, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) becomes fascinated with "Trinity's" unique killing methods and his ability to evade capture for almost three decades.

"Dexter" stars Michael C. Hall as a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami police department who moonlights as a serial killer. The show also stars Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, and James Remar.

That is fantastic news. I was pretty pumped for Season 4 but now I am way more pumped getting a look into it. Lithgow is a great actor and will definitely bring another edge to the show. I wonder how his character will be and can't wait to see him and Dexter meet already. OH YEAH!

Looking Good! Wonder what the babies name is going to be?

Season 3 is supposed to come out on DVD in the next couple of weeks. I can't wait. From all I heard, season 3 is gonna rock. Gonna rent the whole season and watch all 12 episodes marithon style.

sic :D...Lithgow is an awesome addition...can't wait

John Lithgow plays an awsome psycho. Ever see the movie "Ricochet"? Very convincing performance performance. I think he may have played similar roles in other movies, but that's the role that sticks out in my mind the most.

And don't forget

Buckaroo Banzai
Cliffhanger
Santa Claus: The movie
Raising Cain

Lithgow does awesome Psychotic characters. Raising Cain was creepy at times, even more twisted than Fight Club in some ways.

Currently watching Season 3 here in the U.K. - Each season just keeps getting better and better.

The news about Lithgow for season 4 is absolutely awesome.

Buckaroo Banzai? Never even heard of that one.

Raising Caine? Never actually seen this one, but I've heard lots of good things about it.

Cliff Hanger? Desperately trying to forget that piece of crap ever existed.

Santa Claus: The Movie? Been a long time since I've seen this one, but I don't recall John Lithgow's character being psychotic in this one. Greedy? Deffinately. Loose morals? Absolutely. But that doesn't necessarily translate into psycho killer. Good villain though.

AWESOME PROMO! The shoots for Dexter have always been so great! Really capture the sense of humour and style of the show!

I'm currently watching Season 3.... I loved Season 1 when it first aired... and I had seasons 2 and 3 waiting to go for ages, but didnt get round to watching them until recently, watched season 2 in about three days! Its a great show to watch in a one go like that!

I don't really know how she was received in general by other fans, but I personally LOVED Lila!

I thought she was a great character; I loved how messed up she was but I'd have preferred the story unfold a little different and had her stick around for Season 3 as Dexter's wing-woman; rather than Miguel!
