Good second ep.

Could they be setting up that Rita ends up being Trinity's third victim..?
God would that be wishful thinking. She positively encroaching.

On the other hand, her with the kids and all...might not be a good idea killing her off.

That's what I wondered too...

Although I hope if he goes after Rita it's more of a personal vendetta against Dexter and not his convenient third kill.

I couldn't imagine Dexter being able to support 3 kids by himself and still hold the job he has though...so Rita's death would change everything.

See Harry keeps pressuring Dexter about being married, and having the children. He'd be better off without them doing what he does. That seems to be the main focus of this season. I can really see the writers killing off Rita/or leaving the season on a cliffhanger where we're not sure; besides what would make Dexter more driven to catch Trinity, than to have him kill his wife...? Because up until now, Trinity is just another killer out there killing that has no connection to Dexter, and as you can see, Dex is not really loosing too much sleep over catching him..yet. Going after Rita would really make a Trinity/Dexter cat and mouse game more memorable.

Also i have a feeling the former FBI old guy (can't think of his name right now) is after Trinity for an additional reason that hasn't been revealed, yet.

Lundy. And yeah, imagine if Trinity had knocked off his previous wife (if he had one).

My "Rita is a $%^&" moment was when she blamed his job for his accident. Even though she called him to go home

so are we going to see trinity only kill 3 people this season? or is he going on a spree of cycles through miami? im really thinking trinity and dexter become master and student.

Ultimately the bad guy here is the baby. If he didn't cry at night Dex wouldn't be so exhausted. :o

As for the master/student angle, I don't see it. They could learn off each other, but they're both simply cold killers with a code. What they do works for them. So far it looks more like a cool battle than something that could turn into a protege plot.

I really want to see someone close to Dexter die, just to finally see if he has no emotion. I think it would a very powerful moment if Rita is killed & the season ends with Dexter getting emotional.

I take it you never seen the last episode of the first season?
When he was crying after he killed Brian?

Imagine if he get's this emotional,
of killing the brother he knew he have in one day
, and what will happen if Rita dies.

PS: Some HQ Trinity shots:

I'm kind of wondering what Rita does, given that she's never exhausted and Dexter always seems to be the one having his sleep interrupted by the baby. I guess they worked out a system where Rita takes care of the kids in the day and Dexter has to deal with the baby at night.

I'm sure Rita has her hands full with the two other brats as it, especially playing chicken with the girl over that damn iPod.

I like Rita, alot.

But, the writing is wonderful. They're really just showing Dexter struggling to be it all.

I mean, let's be honest here. Dex could probably get sleep if he didn't kill people. Probably not spend all the prep time he pours before a kill.

It's damn good to see him trying to find that balance.

Check out season 1. You might find what you're looking for. And Season 2, or was it 3?, that had Dex confront the mystery of what happened to his mother was pretty powerful.

The man's got emotion. He just buries it. And still, we see it.

Astor's a total *****e this season. How old is the character supposed to be? She seems a little young to already be entering her rebellious phase.

I doubt it, I'm sure his dark passenger would cry just as much as the baby. :o

Anyhoo Dex is just a victim of trauma. He's not aware of emotions until they kicks his ass with intensity.

I don't think Trinity...or Alan?...has a code. But, what would probably pique Dexter's interest more than anything I think, is his longevity.

Trinity's been killing for almost 40 years, and now is when there's some whiff of him- mostly because Lundy has a hardon for the guy.

I think for Dexter, who's barely hanging by a thread in how he's balancing everything out...and clearly would like to never get ever, more for his family now than himself, I think the protege plotline could start somewhere around the longevity aspect.

Kinda interesting to see we've got a possible third serial killer too, with the "Vacation Murders".

pretty crazy how Dexter snapped when Quinn asked him to go have drink with him

lol.

Quinn went from wanting to punch Dex, to wanting to be BFF.

I expect the ass kissing to continue from him.

Alan is an alias. Trinity's real name is Arthur Mitchell.

PS: I'm sure that there wont be any student angle, but i think killing of Rita is a good choose.

PS 2: Is it just me or the thing with Angel and Laguerta is just odd?

It happens when someone witnesses you pocketing evidence.

Quinn's an idiot. I like that he's so worried about Dex when Dex has stuff so far beyond him going on in his f***ed up life, though.

same here

I'm curious to see where they take the Quinn character...is he now part of the team as a main player or is he a role designed specifically for an angle?

I just don't want to see another Doakes storyline...man, I wish he was still around.
