Dexter

I heard that Lithgow won an Emmy for his role on Dexter. He accidently thanked HBO instead of Showtime in his acceptance speech. :funny:

I wonder if this season is going to involve Dexter getting caught. & next season will be his trial?

Just wondering, but is there a plan for how many more seasons there will be?

If there is going to just be a fifth and then a sixth, I wouldn't mind that being played out. Dexter having to go on trial during the sixth season, then leading into prison life and ending up killing as many people as he can when he's stuck there...but that'll create an obvious ending for Dexter though: his death.

They haven't set an end date.

I just brought that up because I don't really see how Dexter will logically be able to get out of this. Especially since they know that Dexter was with the Trinity killer. I am sure Angel will remember seeing them together at the station. & I am sure that there is security footage of them talking in Dexters office.

I can the worse case scenerio being that next season Dexter is on the run. Or even more extreme that people close to him find out his secret & actually help him. That would be pretty crazy. But an interesting twist to have pretty much all of Miami Metro supporting his cause. Angel did say in season 2 he would like to shake the hand of the Bay Harbor Butcher. So who knows. I would however take a lot of the tension out of show if they did do that.

How do you all think he will get out of this?

I'd say he needs somebody to pin Rita's murder on (Quinn?) but that would be a retread of using Doakes to get out of being caught in season 2. I honestly don't know but I feel like we've got 2 seasons left in the show, 3 tops.

Ghostvirus, I like the idea of the rest of the Miami Metro helping him but it would kinda change the whole feel of the show.

I'd love for Dexter to maybe go to someone who has the ability to throw everyone else off his scent like Laguerta or Angel and get them on his side.
Then maybe have one of the characters leave by the season end because they can't deal with the stress of knowing so rather than turning him in (because they agree with what he is doing) they just transfer elsewhere. Leaving Season 6 to have a new situation for Dexter where most would still be suspicious of him but cannot act because someone else is arrest for it (Rita's murder).

I see this season being the end for the character of Quinn.

I see the show being a heart breaking end that involves Deb somewhat reluctantly charging Dexter and convicting him of all of his crimes.

Where they go from there could be anyones guess.

I feel the show has Dexter getting close to getting caught much more than compared to the books. In the books, Dexter can almost do no wrong (heh), and anyone who finds him he usually dispatches with ease.

Yeah, he's definitely become too antagonistic to survive for much longer. It'll be interesting to see how they resolve that. I wager Dexter would kill Quinn to protect the children/family.

I hope Dexter doesn't get caught this season.

I wonder if he'd kill Deb to protect his identity?

I agree with Quinn dying this season. Seems that he's getting pretty close to finding out what Dexter is.

Can't wait.

My guess is that Quinn will cross a line. Dexter couldn't kill Doakes because Doakes was a good man. It would violate the code. Quinn has already proven he's willing to steal from a crime scene and break the law. My guess is that Quinn will cross the line and do something terrible to get to Dexter and Dexter will be able to retaliate without violating the code. Either that or Deb will kill Quinn to protect Dexter and the kids and Deb will finally find out like book Deb.

I like the idea of Deb killing Quinn to protect Dexter and the kids but I would like to see a happy ending for her just once. She's depressed like every season.

My gf and I just got into this show and finished the last episode of Season 1 tonight. I love it!

What season are they up to?

Season 5 starts late next month. Yeah season one is great still my favorite season.

This season will be so hard to watch....hell, It was hard to watch Dexter explain to the kids what happend to their mother....I mean...holy hell....

So Julia Benz tweeted MovieViral, helping promote their contest. The first thing I thought of wasn't "Thanks, Juile!" It was "I'm glad you're dead on Dexter, I hate you".

Eh. I dunno, she seemed pretty real to me. Sure she annoyed the audience, but that was the point. She stopped Dex from doing what he does. And we dont like that. But that's very realistic.

And I think at the end, I was incredibly sad to see her go. She really was Dexter's one real link to humanity.

And even all that aside, you HAVE to feel for those kids. I do....Damn...that would be the hardest thing.
