Yeah, hopefully. Gage has some experience with military style stories with STORMWATCH and stuff. Being efficient doesn't have to mean being a coward.
 
Being dedicated solely to a paycheck does tend to make you avoid any unnecessary risks, though. Military people believe in something bigger than themselves. Taskmaster believes in money.

You can believe in money and not flee the moment any fight gets interesting. In theory Taskmaster would care about his reputation. If he runs away from every fight against someone he doesn't instantly surpass, he really doesn't seem threatening enough to, say, get hired for the odd hit on someone or whatnot. He makes his bread and butter training people, but a trainer who can't beat anyone decent is akin to that lame teacher pariable, "those who can't do, teach." Taskmaster needs to be someone who can do, but teaches because it's lucrative. :cool:

That means some wins, or at least better showings. But wins help. And comic people know this. Otherwise they wouldn't have Batman and Wolverine beat everything.
