Did Lex REALLY Kill Lana?

Yeah, it was abit obvious. I mean, the driver must have **** himself when some strange woman jumped into his truck and the car behind him blew up.

why would calrk drive in a truxk? he could use hes super speed to grab pana and run away. it was not calrk. no matter what you say clark in nooooooooooooooo way is that good of an actor. you think he acted infront of lex?

lana faking her death? so now in smallville a college girl can fake her death without any help?

i also think that lana faked her death..

thats probably a given really...

the interesting thing for me was chloe and lois...what was all that about!?

u guys are wierd. She isn't dead. DIdn't anybody think it was odd when Lionel was walking towards Lana's car, and truck passes between them? I bet Lana jumped on the truck because she knew that the car will explode duh

as soon as i saw it drive by i was like, thats one faked death.

The biggest tell for me was when Lana was saying she needed to leave Smallville.. to Lionel of all people. It seemed a bit exaggerated and obvious that she was faking it.

I'm starting to think Lana went to the Feds and this move was done to put her in witness protection. That would probably explain why the Police hunted down Lex Luthor for the murder when there obviously is no body in the wreckage or evidence. Also, if Lana tried to frame Lex for murder by herself, she could be facing some serious prison time... so I doubt she acted alone.

Boy are you late ;)

Here's a clearer & bigger picture of the man in the truck (credit to svfan):

LOL! That looks like a pretty buff old man. Fake beard maybe? I'm dying to see the reveal of who that is driving. I bet he has a wig and fake beard on.

^^^^ What if its a blonde haired guy?

Oliver Queen???

Duh, indeed. ;)

Can we make it a sticky that EVERYONE knows that Lana's death was faked? Er, most likely. The details of who helped her, if anyone, is the only thing at question.

I was looking at that scene frame by frame trying to see if we could see a face in the rearview mirrors of the truck. No luck. :(

not only did the truck give it away, but her speech to Clark about getting away so that Lex wouldn't hunt her down pretty much spelled it out.

You'd actually expect the truck and it's driver to stop the vehicle seeing as an explosion happened right behind them.

actually it was obvious that she wont die after the trailer.
if she would die they wouldnt show it in the trailer.
so obvious from one week ago.

That's quite a spoilerish title you got there for us Brits who haven't had the new season yet!

Oh well, I'm just going to watch it on the interne, it's too tempting

I also think she faked her own death. Why else would she insist on not trusting Lionel? Oh yeah, because he's lied and threatened to kill Clark if she didn't marry Lex. Forget it. :D

Lana faking her own death is fine.

However, if Lana somehow framed Lex for her murder, does that mean she could be facing some serious jail time when Clark finds her? ...Considering framing someone for murder is a federal offense; I'm not sure Clark could let her get away with it if he knew.

If she did fake it she didnt specifically implicate anyone.

I have another theory, although it may have a few holes in it.

What if Lex did set up the car bombing wanting everyone to believe that Lana is dead, but instead had whoever was in the white truck kidnap her and take her away to some hidden location that only Lex and his incompetent minions knows about.

I also think that Lionel was most likely the one to call the police too. He knew where Lex was located and most likely suspected him of being the culprit, and there was also a little bit of revenge for him after Lex had him imprisoned back in Season 3/4.

Well hopefully she didnt implicate anyone; otherwise it would put Clark in quite a moral dilemma.

If Lionel called the police on Lex, could they actually arrest Lex without evidence?

We didn't really see her frame Lex per se. The cops didn't really explain why Lex was being arrested for the murder, though, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I think it's pretty obvious that she faked her death to not only escape Lex but to frame him so he wouldn't be in a position to track her down thus the mentioning of "what are you gonna do ? kill me ?" for Lex's own security cameras that I'm sure the police will use against him. I think she also told him that Clark meant more to her in an effort to trigger a reaction from Lex so that it will be more credible to think that he could have had something to do with her death. I think she planned everything.
But the big question here isn't if Lex killed her, it's pretty obvious he didn't. The question is...did he inject her with hormones to fake the pregnancy or did someone else ?
