Did Pete deform Harry in the Comics?(spoilers)

I know this may be dumb to hardcore fans, but I honestly don't know the answer, did Peter deform Harry in the comics?....or is this a new point to the story introduced by Raimi?.......(I'm refering to Harry's face being scared, from what appears to be a pumpkin bombed hurled at it by a symbiote controlled Peter Parker)

I believe there was an issue with the Green Goblin while Peter had the black suit, but I cannot remember if it was harry or norman as the Goblin.
