So far every comic book movie I have seen has had some kind of humor in some shape or form...what kind do you think Ghost Rider have? Light humor, dark humor, comic reference humor, etc.?

Uhmm i think there will be some type of dark humour...it depends in particular how Mephisto and Caretaker will be portrayed. I expect them being the more probabile center of some cynic, acid jokes, but not at the level of Hellblazer(too much), maybe on the level of Hellboy. I think the humour could be used to influence/calibrate the rating.

There definatly has to be some humor. All movies have humor... mainly just for comic releif from all the action or horror that is happening. (Question: What do they do in Comedies? Do they have Dramatic relief? Ha)

In this flick, it should be dark though. Not campy at all... and actually, I think the humor in Constantine would work better in Ghost Rider than the HellBoy humor. That's my opinion of course.

As long as they don't go the Blade: Trinity route and think that just by adding the F word to everything makes it funny, I'm happy.

Yup..fell pretty much the same way FH. Dark Humor..good, Campy Humor...bad..heh
the humor in Hellboy would be too much for GR imo...and i certainly dont want to hear him make jokes like HB did. now if they made him into the demon who had the evil, sick ,twisted sense of humor like in the 70s series then im all for it.

Exactly. I'd be all over that as well... and I'd say that's the way they're gonna go.

HellBoy and Spider-Man were created for younger audiences and therefor the humor was 'younger' as well. Though Ghost Rider is going to be PG-13, it doesn't mean it's intended for young audiences which means the humor can be less light.

Yep, that's would fit. I was meaning that actually Constantine had, yes, a more "adult" quality humour than HB, but in my ompinion there was a little too much. I mean, i don't like the idea to laugh at almost every scene as in Constantine(although the movie remains excellent).
After all GR is an horror character...

I didn't laugh that much at Constantine... besides at Neanu's acting. There was some funny stuff but not an overabundance of it... not in my opinion anyway. People have differencet senses of homor of course.

Which character do you think will be the funny man (if there is one) in Ghost Rider? Donal Logue as Mack perhaps? He was a funny man in Blade...

I would guess Logue as well...he can pull off comedy w/out having to overboard w/ it.
maybe some humor by Sam Elliot but it could be very dry or dark humor.

All I'm going to say...is I hope its better than Daredevil's humor...which was kind of cheesy :) ...'cept for Bullseye.

I agree, DD was pretty cheesy at times. Colin was awesome though! I'm sure I read or heard somewhere that he wasn't taking the whole thing seriously though. I'm not sure if most of them were. I mean, DD was made during a time that superhero movies were just starting to be real and most people weren't taking them as serious movies.

Hmm... I think this deserves a bump.

Now that we've seen some footage and read a lot of interviews, we know that Humor plays a pretty big part in this flick. A lot of it happened on set because Nic is so freakin' funny... apparantly.

well as long as they stay away from my sense of humor , and Monty python humor, GR will be fine. Dark humor would fit best in this movie...Darn it, now that im thinking of GR humor, i cant stop thinking about GR doing a Firemarshall bill impression....God, why have you cursed my humor like this????

I'll say only : thank god the human torch already did the "I'm hot!" one...^^;

Cage did mention dark humour in an interview and went on to talk about how people working in stressful and serious occupations such as paramedics tend to develop a twisted sense of humour to get by. I immediately thought about Bringing Out the Dead and especially Tom Sizemore's character.

I just hope the humor isnt overdone like in Blade III

Though, I thought Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity was the funniest character that I've seen in a while and loved Reynold's performance, I'm not getting an F that and this vibe. The secret decoder ring line was a good one though..

Yeah, I liked him in Trinity as well.

Whoever says that they didn't at least give out a faint giggle when he said "C**k-juggling thunder c**t," is a liar.

Haha...yeah. I honestly think some people just hate the movie because Reynolds stole the show from Snipes. I loved Hannibal King in Trinity.

I'm picturing the comedy that I heard in the Comic-Con footage, with a few good lines every now and then to relieve the tension of a highly action packed fest.

When Blaze said.. I'm good, but I feel like my head's on fire..

Brilliant line, and very Ghost Rider-esque..

Quite a few one-liners... maybe some other good comedy routines, but nothing too far out there...

Very cool line, specially the way Cage said. Works for the movie, for sure.
In my opinion, B:T was the weakest of the 3 Blade movies, by far.
King was cool, but his humor was out of place in the Blade universe.
Really, was too much. The movie is very light. Dracula, jeez... Horrible.
It was a clear tentative of creating a spin-off with the Nightstalkers.
Snipes seems angry and unconfortable, like asking for the end of the movie.
Humor doesn´t fit to GR, but lines like the "head on fire" can work, i guess.

There's got to be some humour in it. Humour's good for bringing an audience back up after delving into the serious drama of a story. Laughs are good for setting an audience up for scares too. As long as it isn't overdone and as long as there's no comedy sidekick (e.g. Fergie), I'll be happy.:)

I agree. This movie, or character for that matter, doesn't need a funny sidekick... like Hannibal King in B:T. While I loved to see a Canadian boy in the flick and thought his humor was hilarious, I felt there was a little too much of it. They could have cut back on a few of his sarcastic lines and gave some interesting stuff to Blade.

Sarcasm is going to work very well in this Ghsot Rider movie... and I'm saying this because most of the humor in the CC footage was exactly that.

"Thanks for the info. I feel much better knowing that I'm the Devil's bounty hunter."

There will be some humour involved in this movie. Not a lot though.

A movie like this shouldn't have a lot of humor. Judging from the footage I saw at Con, they are going for a lot of BAD and cheesy humor that looks totally wrong for the movie.

Wait a sec...Cage? Nah, couldn't be.

I highly doubt it. I think he would have said more and not have hung out in a place like The Gamma Lounge. Would be freakin' awesome if it was though.
