Congress is so tainted with foreign lobby power that quite honestly the president shouldn't even have to acknowledge them. Once we clean it up then we can resume as a true Democratic Republic and not this gridlocked Washington that has succumb so low to almost all and any foreign interest that is willing to pay top dollar.

The approval rating shows that most people wouldn't care, in fact President Obama regardless of what I may think of him had a good point in using all those executive orders.

I hope Donald Trump as president will do the exact same only with policies that will help America and not foreign interest like the Bush's, Clinton's and Obama constantly work for. They're big time crony Capitalists that really follow a vague "global" agenda.

Anderson Cooper is really taking motherf***ers to task today. Proud of him.

You're suggesting the President just do away with Congress until it can be "cleaned up" and we can resume as a democratic Republic?

That's basically the same pretext Hitler used to seize dictatorial powers which he never surrendered.

Right now, the GOP is doing everything they can to throw away their majority in the House. Like voting down an amendment to protect gay employees of Federal contractors from discrimination the day ofter the Orlando shooting.

Anderson Cooper does something good and Florida is still horrible:

Remember when we all thought the struggle was over because marriage equality was achieved?

Such a weird week. I'm going to a vigil tomorrow. Work has been kind enough to let me go early so I can attend. I won't be able to forget about the same people in Orlando who could loose their job because of homophobia and the ones who have already lost their lives

Still lots of work to do regarding violence and job and housing discrimination especially for the trans community.

Oh my God, the "Ask the Gays" thing on Twitter today...

Paul Ryan, you gotta get your s*** together, gurl.

When I think about how **** the Democratic Party is, all I have to do is remember how the Republicans make them look like the ****ing Justice League in comparison.

I always knew that would be the case. Even on the day it passed. Still, at least you're further along than we are.

Oh my God, the "Ask the Gays" thing on Twitter today...

It was the best. Seriously, what an idiot Trump is. Did he really think after the way the republicans have treated lgbtiq people up to the attack would be forgotten and we would embrace with open arms the opportunity to hurt other people?

Phew, I see it's getting steamy in here.

And I'm all for it. Let's be honest, everything needs to get more gay

So Alabama refuses to lower government flags for the tragedy in Orlando saying "It doesn't meet the test of the reason for the flag to be lowered". #StayClassy

Marines Under Investigation for Allegedly Threatening to Attack Gay Bars

Two marines are under investigation for uploading a photo to social media in which they allegedly threatened to attack gay bars—all less than a week after the shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, which has been deemed the worst mass shooting by a single gunman in U.S. history.

The Marine Corp members reportedly responsible for the post belong to the I Marine Expenditionary Force (I MEF), which is headquartered at Camp Pendleton in San Diego County.

The photo, which was posted on the Camp MENdleton resale Facebook group—a closed group for male marines with an amassed 25,000 members—features an unnamed male corporal holding a military rifle with his finger poised on the trigger.

The caption accompanying the photo reads “Coming to a gay bar near you!”

The post also promised that “Orlando was long overdue,” and that San Diego, the city near where the suspects were based, was “next,” according to The Marine Corps Times.

Shortly after the photo was uploaded, the marine who did so followed it up with “too soon?”

I MEF spokesperson Lt. Thomas Gray told the press that both the person featured in the photo and the person who posted the photo have since been identified.

“The Marine Corps does not tolerate discrimination based on sexual orientation, race, gender or religion,” read an official statement released by I MEF. “This type of behavior and mindset will not be allowed, and it is not consistent with the core values of honor, courage and commitment that are demonstrated by the vast majority of Marines on a daily basis.”

The founder of the Facebook group, Michael Moss, also publicly disparaged the photo.

“We do not tolerate hate speech,” Moss, who was also responsible for removing the post, told the press.

Unfortunately, this incident inherently tied to the Orlando shooting is not a standalone occurrence: on Monday night, a man was arrested in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood after he threatened to perpetrate an “Orlando-style” shooting outside of the gay bar Happy Fun Hideaway.

He also screamed that he would “get his 50 just like Orlando,” referring to the initial approximated number of Pulse casualties.

The funny thing is in my experience several of the Marines I met back in the day were so in the closet it was laughable. Gotta be a macho man though right?

I would like to see their reasons

Apparently they only lower it for Memorial Day and government officials. To be fair they didn't lower them for the victims of San Bernardino either.

We have so many national tragedies and deaths that it would be lowered every week.

We are talking about the largest mass shooting in US history.
