But she needs to PASS him. :(
exactly, still alot of time and the enthusiasm for her seems to continue to grow each day, especially when people now are seeing Trumps age, Vances whatever, and project 2025 and how vile that is, plus republicans who support Trump in the house and senate are clowns, we will see how it goes, if Kamala can keep this kind of positive momentum its anyone election.

The fact that she's ahead in some polls and just barely behind in others has got to be of great concern for the Trump campaign. Especially when you consider that the polling has, in the recent past, drastically underestimated Democratic Party strength. It's a wait and see situation. Is this a honeymoon and she falls back or does her momentum continue? There's clearly movement among young people and a growing enthusiasm. This does not bode well for repubs.

Republicans are probably worried for four reasons:

1) Kamala's popularity swell is real. It's not a fluke.

2) Trump has a ceiling and didn't get much of a bump from the assassination attempt or the Republican convention.

3) JD Vance and any debate is destined to drag down the ticket.

4) Kamala still has the Democrat convention and VP announcement which could mean another bump in the polls.

5) (kind of linked to the first part of 3) - The key demographic of childless cat ladies who drink diet mountain dew on roughed up sofas is now in jeopardy.

Your second point is a particularly interesting one. Traditionally, a candidate gets a bump from their convention, VP pick, and, in this case, a failed assassination attempt (they get even better press if it's successful LOL).

I think an argument can be made that this IS Trump's high point. Biden had a poor debate, the convention happened, he had the maxi pad on his ear to emphasize how horrible he'd been treated, and he picked Vance.

He DID get something of a bump, but right on the heels of that, Biden stepped away (I still wonder if that wasn't orchestrated) and Harris immediately wiped out his gains and more. Her unfavorability went from -19 to -3 overnight and she still has room to grow. The Obamas just endorsed her, the convention is coming up, she's still got a running mate to pick.....hopefully a VP pick that goes over better than Vance. :funny: That was one of the most bonehead moves I've ever seen.

I was surprised the assassination attempt bump disappeared so quickly. It does feel like most people who are open to voting for Trump are already voting for him.

Trump will be blaming Vance if he loses, and he might actually be right with small margins.

I'm genuinely terrified that SCOTUS is gonna hand Trump a victory regardless of what the election outcome is.

One benefit the Dems have is that they are currently holding the office. And they know what being good doobies gets you after allowing Dubya to be appointed by the court. It might be a good idea for Biden to step down early, hand Kamala the keys and force the corrupt SCOTUS to justify her removal.

Interesting thought, but I doubt it will happen. He might do it after the election (win or lose) and have Kamala pardon his son if he's sentenced to jail time by then.

Careful! Easy chairs might be next! Then what?!

La Z Boy recliners. He wants to have his way with the whole furniture store.

Rumor is he's been banned from bed, bath, and beyond for lewd conduct and sexual harassment.

Vance reups his attacks on women.

This sick incel ideology man isn’t paying for anyone else’s children, which cost $300,000 on average to raise to age 18.

They don't even support a child tax credit that cuts child poverty in half or even free school lunches.

But still want (white) women to have way more kids.

No, you don’t get to abort JD Vance. Or pretend that he doesn’t represent what Republicans almost all are now.
