I got a new firearm safety certificate card today. Took less than 10 minutes to pass the ''test''. Tis' a joke how easy it is. The bald woman handling my stuff was going on and on about california being so strict, and I'm just going, ''really''? That was really easy and she just shrugs it off and moves the talk to ammo, needing a birth certificate and or passport to buy, which is also pretty easy requirement. This lady also has 4 or five store cats and smells of them. Nice lady tho. This card along with a simple background check allows me/the customer to purchase guns online and ship to her place or any other local FFL location and a fee of 100 dollars with 9 days waiting period, this is it for California. That easy.

Crazy. Though I suppose since you seem like a rational person, you triggered no red flag laws -- assuming your state even has them.

Gun-spawned violence is bad for people's personal safety. It is also bad for business.

I can't say it hasn't crossed my mind the last time I was in a crowded place, the movie theater. Truth is it doesn't matter. Now you can be murdered at the grocery store, Walmart and yeah, even the bank. Even at work by someone you thought you knew. Not much point in hiding out.

IMO it should take at least ten minutes just to do the written form to take the test but I'm also thinking gun training should require more than making sure the person knows which way the barrel faces and how to pull the trigger.

The NRA needs to hook them young. And then deny that giving kids easy access to firearms is a bad thing when one of them uses it at a school. Just arm more kids is their solution.
