It is broken. Money buys votes more than what constituents actually want. It's all about the green. So much support for those and they still don’t get done. Means the system is broken.
I've heard of killers being able to mentally compartmentalize their crimes but this one takes the cake -- unless he hoped the date would give him an alibi.
I've got elderly mostly around me which we help out now and again so I'm not afraid of them shooting me anytime soon.Fortunately my neighbors are more or less decent if somewhat conservative people. They own guns but I don't fear them shooting at me or anyone near me. Which is not a common enough occurence apparently.
It is scary, you're not safe anywhere. Cleaning out your yard? Chasing after a basketball? Crazy. The problem is these incidents cause paranoia to rise. The mentality that this person could snap so I better shoot them first.
It's the same where I live. I've only seen a handful of guns the whole time I've lived here and that was from police as well.A different world where your neighbours and any random passer by could be carrying a gun. I only see guns in the hands of armed police here, and even that’s very rare.
Oh good to know it’s not the whole of the US then. It's the same where I live. I've only seen a handful of guns the whole time I've lived here and that was from police as well.
No, not at all. Lol. I've never even seen an AR15 for real or even an ordinary long gun. It would freak me out!Oh good to know it’s not the whole of the US then.
Probably because they themselves grew up in that culture. It's normal for them. Why do they want kids at things like this.![]()
Guess they’re worried as to what happens if my kids grow up not loving guns.Probably because they themselves grew up in that culture. It's normal for them.
They can't relate to us the same way we can't relate to them.Guess they’re worried as to what happens if my kids grow up not loving guns.![]()

On the other hand Washington is the latest state to pass an assault weapons ban.I've lived in Florida most of my life, but I've never seen anyone carry a firearm in public. That's because open carry is illegal in that state. While living in the more liberal Washington state, I saw someone open-carrying a sidearm in a shoulder-holster. Open carry is legal in Washington.
