As part of the Republican-led charge towards censorship in schools, meanwhile, Texas has banned more books that address LGTBQ+ issues, race, gender and abortion than any other state.

You may not be allowed to learn about history and topics including black people and LGBTQ+ in school but you can 'learn' how to dodge bullets.

That was exactly the argument of the commentator on the newsclip of this I watched yesterday. Not to mention the general sadness of having to prepare kids that young for a violent gun event.

Sure, Mississippi is an easy target. Mississippi has the highest homicide rate in the nation. However, 4 of the 5 states with the loosest gun laws(all constitutional carry)have a lower homicide rate than California.
