The more the government micro-manages business and the economy, the more incentive businesses have to lobby the government for favorable treatment.

Nope. Corporations will have incentive to lobby regardless. They don't really want less regulations. They want more regulation that favors themselves. They don't care about the economy or other businesses, so really government oversight is the only thing protecting the economy and other businesses.

It works both ways.

The government creates regulations with good intentions, that also end up stifling competition and creating additional barriers to entry.

And they get lobbied to create regulations that help the large business avoid competition.

In the end, it's our fault. The people have become lazy and no longer put any real pressure on the politicians. And yet complain that the politicians aren't doing what we want them to do. And still, continue to vote in all those bad politicians because it can't be their guy. It has to be the fault of the other guy's guy.

the crown prince of the tea party marco rubio would make a great president .

Rush Limbaugh admits defeat:

"[T]he left has beaten us," Limbaugh said during his Friday show. "They have created far more low-information, unaware, uneducated people than we’ve been able to keep up with."

Where do they come up with this crap at? Does he actually believe this? Their media propaganda machine that is Fox, bigotry, ass backwardness, religious fanatics, and the romanticized BS they call history is their problem, and creating the uneducated mass of our country.

Rush, hilarious as usual especially when their own members call it "the stupid party"

The Repubs need to get their balls back and stand up to Rush and Murdoch.

No, they simply need to not bow down to them, they have every right to say what they want to say...it is not up to the Republican establishment to tell them they are wrong, shut up, or sit down. As long as people are hearing and watching them, they will continue.

As far as uneducated viewers etc....anyone that is basing their opinions off of any media outlet IMO, is extremely uninformed.

I like to let you know, that I get a bit of my info from the glorious show, Red Eye.

So....yea.

:o I have you know, Bill's insight and wisdom is unmatched on cable news tv...impressive, since he's legally a boat in Brazil.

Well, Bill doesn't really bother me too much, I think alot of his stuff is for entertainment value. Honestly most of those type shows, I don't see them as "news" I see them as people giving their opinion on the "the news" and they have every right to do that...including Red Eye. But, also IMO, ALL news outlets are biased one direction or the other...so that is where my problem lies. O'Reilly, Sharpton, Maddow, Hannity, all have every right to give their opinion. I don't have to agree with them, nor am I going to shape my opinion around what they have to say.

:o=joking.

Red Eye is like Colbert Report and Daily Show. Reports on news/stuff, but more of a satire/parody/comedy show.

Also only Andy takes the show somewhat seriously. Good grief, I've seen Bill keep his wallet/smokes on the table by him...rather that's him being in character or not caring much for Red Eye anymore, I dunno.

:o:yay: also Gary Johnson needs to guest host a week, with Tom Shillue doing Andy's gig. Just think...a Libertarian Party member earning a damn check from a Republican Party Network. What a s-c-a-n-d-a-l.

I don't know if any of you live in Florida. I do. Whenever I email or call Marco Rubio, I get the same answer.
I appreciate your response but I won't allow more money to be spent or any possible loss of jobs.

This is the same answer whether I want him to support Epilepsy recognition or even striking down CISPA which he later did. I don't want a president who ignores my feelings and gives me the same form answer for everything.

Did anyone really think they wouldn't find another way for the Obamas to show how cool they are with the Hollywood crowd? Really thought it was an unnecessary addition for the final award.

I think it looks worse on the Academy's part. It's like they are pandering, but in all the wrong ways.

Gary Johnson was on John Stossel's show last night.

John Stossel is probably a bigger Libertarian than Johnson...lol

I thought it was a little weird, but I guess if you have 5 out of 9 movies that are dealing with political issues, I'll let you figure out which 5....:cwink:, then sure, have the First Lady hand out some awards. Whatever...

Don't forget that Laura Bush did a taped presentation for the Oscars in '02.

It was a re-run from earlier in week. Thursday night I believe it aired. And on FOX Business.

This Obama and liberal Hollywood situation angers me. I blame Red Eye and Red Eye for this :o

Johnson seems to be a cost-benefit analysis Libertarian. I'm like a hybrid...I've only been Libertarian for less than a year. I'm def libertarian-leaning on most issues, I just say hell with it, and become Libertarian.

I don't really think that the whole Obama Hollywood love affair is anger inducing...vomit and eye roll inducing maybe...
