Both Toy Box Takeover and The Speedway game sets look like a lot of fun, and after playing through the play sets from 2.0 and got bored afterward, these seemed to offer more replay value, although they are sold separately and must be played with the 3.0 hub. I do wonder how you can obtain the different vehicles for The Speedway, though; I hope they won't be forcing you to buy the disc for each vehicle, although I suspect it to be the case since it means you'll have to spend more money, which is their intent.

well that's a good majority of what the game is.. unfortunately. Ive yet to purchase a pack that came with a disc i already had.. but that's how you get vehicles for your open toy box.. i assume the same will be for the race way

'Lego Dimensions' has the toys, but 'Disney Infinity' is a better game

The toys came to life, and it was cool when they did. Almost four years after Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure let kids place action figures on an NFC device to make them playable in a grand adventure game, what seemed like a goofy idea turned out to be a great one. There's something undeniably wonderful about seeing your toy come alive. That idea is also an absolute gold mine. The Skylanders series broke $2 billion in 2014, just weeks after Disney Infinity became its first major competitor. Now Warner Bros. is releasing Lego Dimensions, a massive mash-up of different pop culture icons rendered as little toys to use in one of Traveller's Tales popular Lego game series.

I was about to facepalm, but I had to stop myself, or I would have given myself a concussion. Fricking console exclusive figures now? Are you ****ing serious?

it makes me hate the gaming industry soo much... it's become such a nightmare...

$60 for a game, a game that's basically equivalent of a plain cheeseburger.... but if you want cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, fries and a drink... it's going to cost you twice as much as the game...

when 20 years ago.. you got the whole damn combo with everything on it...

now.. this format isn't necessarily the whole thing... but each figure pretty much is it's own DLC. And now they've gone done and made them system exclusives....

Thankfully Boba Fett is only an exclusive PS4 figure for a month.

oh really? so what happens after a month? do the other systems randomly update and start letting him on?
Misread the article. Boba Fett is exclusive to PS4, it's the Rise of the Empire set that is coming to PS4 a month "early".

Well, this is stupid.
