Most kids didn't watch the Pixar movies for the voice talent. If they watch Toy Story, they might recognize Tim Allen's voice from the Santa Clause movies.

Unless its like Robin Williams as the Genie.

Only in English speaking countries, the rest of the world use dubbing I think, especially for children movies, at least it's the case in France.
I learned that Williams was the Genie voice when he died ....

I find it a little odd Kaa is female in both of the upcoming movies, this one where it's Scarlett Johansson and the other one where it's Blanchett.

I think they're playing up the hypnotic seduction role moreso, as some have claimed that Kaa's original vibe came off a little pedo. I think it's stupid, but I heard that **** from people online.

I've never heard that (nor do I think it). If you could maybe make a complaint about Holloway's voice, it's that he comes across as too slimy/evil from the beginning. Whereas Scarlett, and I think Blanchett will do this as well, seem to be going for a seductive/hypnotic-type of voice that you'd more easily trust.

I am starting to worry about the hype for this film, in the sense that as with lots of films, the expectations are going to be too high and therefor negatively affect the film.

Cool poster. Kaa looks weird though, as she does in the trailer. Not sure why. Not very "python-esque", but maybe I'm just nitpicking.

Well, the very obvious lack of female characters in the original story was a bit hard to ignore I guess. And considering that female Indian rock pythons are as huge and dangerous (well, to monkeys at least) as males ones, I don't think it makes any difference.

Also, the '73 Russian animated movie basically did the same thing with Bagheera and she ended up being the best part of the whole thing.

If "Trust in Me" is in it, there's no reason why that song shouldn't be in it in some form. It's the second most famous song from the movie after "Bare Necessities".

I'm also holding out hope that this song makes it in, because it was my favorite scene as a kid:
