Is it just me or do the voices not seem to fit the animals?

Maybe so, but I am not the only one who wants to see Walken's King Louis sing this:

Looked so CGI. A bit disappointed to be honest.

I can't put my finger on it but it feels like the voice work was recorded after the animation was done, it's like there's no personality coming through in the characters. There feels like a disconnect between the voices and the characters.

One reason you may not want him to sing.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this, lol.

Scarlett the voice didn't seem to fit to me. Felt off.

I want that version of Bare Necessities on my iTunes yesterday... That was damned cool

Jmc is right about the voice sync, it's flat and doesn't add any life to the characters, plus the CGI is a bit ropy in places, but visually it still looks like fun.

I think the animals honestly needed to look a little more stylized to be honest and not so real. Like not Scooby-Doo, but you know.

Walken and maybe Elba seems like the only ones that matches their characters.

I think Kingsley is a good fit for Bagheera as well. Murray seems a little too relaxed as Baloo but I'm not really bothered by any of it.

Murray didn't really do anything for me until that last bit in the cave, which I liked. And Johansson's regular voice coming out of a twenty foot python isn't working.

Everyone else was fine by me.

Loved the remix of Bear Necessities.

I dont mind the voice casting but I do think it sounds a bit flat in the sense that the voices dont sound like they are in the scene.

I agree with Boom about Murray. I was a bit unsure the whole trailer till that end scene.

Abit disappointed with the english and american accents being used. I would have used bollywood actors to voice the animals and mowgli with an american accent just doesnt fit for me.

They've basically matched every accent to the original (i.e. Baloo, Kaa and King Louie have American accents, Bagheera and Shere Khan have British accents).

I think this looks really good. I agree that the voices do seem weird coming from such realistic looking animals, but that's to be expected, imo. I'm not used to seeing real talking animals so it feels a bit off. Every talking animal movie is like that to me.

Tigers vs Panthers? Giant Orangatan? Bears vs Tigers? Talking giant snakes? I am uncontrollably hyped for this! Gotta watch the original though.

Loved the shot of Shere Khan and Baloo going at it.

I think the problem here is that the actors really only did the voice over work. Planet of the Apes voice/facial sync works because there's performance for the animators to go off. This has clearly been animated without the same type of performance to use as reference. There's a lack of personality with the animals.
