So I'm guessing Disney+ will have some new Star Wars related project dropping on May the 4th from now on. Cool.
Speaking of, I was watching the Mark Hamill episode of The Muppet Show (which I hadn't seen in nearly 20 years) and came across this moment of foreshadowing where both the Star Wars cast and the Muppets sing the theme song of their future corporate masters.

I put The Winter Soldier on earlier and when it started I noticed that there was a warning in the corner that says "Contains product placement".

As if the very existence of Disney as we know it today isn't based around product placement.![]()
No content! Failure!

Release the ENTIRE Holiday Special, you cowards!'Star Wars': Boba Fett Debut, Ewok TV Movies Coming to Disney Plus - Variety
I look forward to rewatching the Ewok movies.

I believe he went on record a long time ago saying that if he could destroy every copy of it in existence, he would have. Considering it's been available on YouTube for at least five years now, George has to know his crusade against the special is long lost. But he's made it clear that he's been upset with Disney so I can't see them willingly poking the bear by putting it on Disney+ without his consent.I use to think it was a matter of time. Now I wonder if George might not have wanted it released, and thus we might never see it on there.

The funny thing is that 2 of their main draws (Marvel and Star Wars) have still only just got started with their new original content offerings with one show each. The numbers are going to take off once there is a few years of streaming-only new work available from both with new shows hitting every month. No content! Failure!![]()

Which they are a part of.I don't think thats the main draw, and never has been. The Disney Vault will remain the main draw.
I did say “2 of their main draws”. Also I would bet many would jump ship and consider cancelling if a competitor was allowed to buy the rights for Star Wars and Marvel, especially outside the US.I don't think thats the main draw, and never has been. The Disney Vault will remain the main draw.
It's all going to the house of mouse in the end, isn't it?I did say “2 of their main draws”. Also I would bet many would jump ship and consider cancelling if a competitor was allowed to buy the rights for Star Wars and Marvel, especially outside the US.
Netflix are putting the effort in at least ($20B on original content this year), and HBO Max need to get their act together. They are losing a lot of subs in the time it’s taking to complete their international rollout. Amazon Prime had the advantage of having their service rolled in with a bunch of other stuff so I’ll always have it even if I don’t watch it as much as the others. Disney showed a lot of foresight to get Marvel and Star Wars on the cheap but there is plenty their rivals can be doing to compete. It's all going to the house of mouse in the end, isn't it?
