Dude, ur a Smith? I'M a Smith!:woot:

damn stupid common last last too...

My first name is pretty common, but having a last name like Blaha is great. It immediately lets people know who I am.

I remember my parents telling me a while back that when I was born, my father wanted to name me Dyron(wtf) or after his father, who was Burl(as in, Burl Ives):wow: . They finally settled on Terrence, but I know I would've endured a bit of ribbing in school had they went with another random name because they were high back in the 70's or some **** like that. I don't mind any ethnic oriented names, but some people tend to go overboard with it. Do you enjoy the name your parents placed upon your ugly baby head, or ever considered a different one?

I love my real name.

My dad has named me, "Hey you!"

That reminds me of a children's book named, "Hi Fella!" which is the full name of the main character.

My name is pretty I suppose but I much prefer the shortened version of it.

Please tell me your first name is Occam. That would RULE!

I have a fairly unique first and last name and people rarely get it right, even after I SPELL and P-R-O-N-O-U-N-C-E it for them. No one listens anymore.

The joke is that my father considered going by Serious since that seemed like my disposition. Which I guesss explains why people tend to take me more seriously than I take myself.

I used to hate my name before I changed it - parts of it were too ethnic-sounding. Now my name suits me.

Which reminds me of a joke.

This Japanese fellow arrives at the foreign exchange counter, after getting off the plane at the San Francisco airport, to exchange his Yen for American dollars.

He asks the clerk at the counter how many dollars could he get for 100, 000 yen and he's told that's worth about $500.

"What?," he cries. "When I left, it was worth $600. What happened?"

The clerk explained, "Fluctuations on the money market."

The Japanese man, with great anger replied, "Well, fluck you too, you Amelican."

I have a friend whose black and his name is Kevin. To me it's a normal name and not something stupid like Kimeesha, RayShawn, DeShawn. And don't give me that crap that they are African names or they are keeping it real. It's that their parents hated them. Just like when white people name their kids Billy-Bob, Cletus or Suri.
Im from Africa and I have yet to meet someone black person with a name like Rayshawn,Deshaun or jamal, here the most common names for black ppl are Sipho, Ntini, jabu and sampson. I have no idea where they came up with those names

I like my name...it isn't too common...if you can't figure it out by my username. It's also not serious sounding...I would die if my name was like Byron the third or some common name like Bob.

Hey Abaddon, your sig sucks. It's so '98
DOG LIPS' sig has evolved

  • nipples
  • bulging eyes
  • steam coming out of his ears

That's right, suck on that.
And it incorporates TWO colors.
Yep....

I don't like my name. Its not that common and usually people mis-pronounce it and it bugs me alot.

I prefer a common name that everybody knows how to pronounce and has seen before but not a name thats TOO common like Stephanie or Ashley.

Yes I like "Whirlysplat" it's unusual and people usually forget it after meeting me. Most call me Mr. Whirlysplat though. I get annoyed when it comes over loudspeaker systems and people laugh. :wow:
