The Avengers Do you think they did your fav AVENGER justice?

I was very pleased with Black Widow's treatment, so yes, I think they did my favourite Avenger justice.

I'd say Bruce/Hulk is my favorite of the group and he ain't done perfectly But overall I feel this is the best Bruce&Hulk on film and so yeah he got served with justice,I also love the other characters and same with Bruce&Hulk they ain't done perfect But done great with enough justice!!

They all turned out better than I expect,Thanx Whedon!!

Thor - I was bigger fan of some of the other characters but for some reason I find Thor more appealing in the Marvel movie universe. I thought Hemsworth was just as good here. I'm glad they found a reasonable way to address his return and Jane Foster's absence.

Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk were all portrayed perfectly. I was disappointed when Norton left the project but Ruffalo stepped in and did a wonderful job.

Black Widow- I thought she was ok in IM2 but she had much better representation in this film.

Hawkeye- His appearance is the least faithful but he gets some badass moments and you want to see more of him so I can't complain. Hopefully he's with the team more in the next film.

The Hulk and Iron Man were perfect in my book .

All characters were done justice TBH

fav avenger - thor (by a mile)
and I was satisfied with what I got but I definately wanted the hulk/thor fight to be longer.

^ Thor's fight with Hulk was more of a short scuffle than a full fledged fight imo, those cut aways didn't make things any better.

Hulk was the star at certain points, so yes. Even when I'm not the biggest fan of Hulk as a superhero (normal man purposedly transforms into the superhero and saves the day) but the misunderstood monster that hates humans but ends up being heroic anyways.

But what definitely sold the character for me was Ruffalo's Bruce Banner. This guy - and Whedon - finally brought something new to the character.

To Thor fans, it may seem to you that Thor could have had more, but as an objective viewer who didn't care for Thor much, I came out a big Thor fan. Don't worry, he was not shortchanged at all, after 3 viewings I can confirm this. He was given both excellent character moments and awesome action, not to mention he had a good chunk of screen time and his "He's adopted" line drew the most laughs I think. I loved Thor! The big four definitely lived up to the name "big four"

I say Thor could've had more to do in the sense that I'll always want to see Thor do more, not that I was disappointed or anything.

The only time he got a bit owned was during his fight with Loki and even then he put up a fight.

What do you expect though

I think every single character had his or her moments to shine, and not one character was given an excessive amount of the screentime and moments (ie Wolverine/Storm in X3).

This movie should be used as the guideline from now on, on how to properly show and highlight multiple characters in a movie. Sure we all wished our favorite character(s) were given more scenes to include something else but that may have ended up being more a curse than a benefit to the movie.

For one, Carnage is not nearly as tough as Loki and the Rhino's face was exposed which is of regular human durabilty.

Cap clearly landed a good number of blocks on Loki and even dodged a few attacks, why would you expect anything different to happen?

This is the amount of screentime each Avenger had, I'm suprised that Cap had more screentime than Iron Man.

Hawkeye: 12:44

Thor: 25:52

Bruce Banner/The Hulk: 28:03

Black Widow: 33:35

Iron Man: 37:01

Captain America: 37:42

Cap was "short changed" indeed

Thor is my favorite of the Avengers and I thought he worked very well in the film. He had his big power moments, he was part in the two best fights where Avengers were put against each other, and he had my favorite emotional moment when he was with Loki on the cliff.

He could have had some more screen time but it was already very good as it was.

I agree, I'm not disappointed with Thor's screentime because he did show up 35-40 minutes into the film.

As a huge Thor fan, I was both satisfied with his amount of screentime and impressed with what he did whenever he was on screen.

Amount he was on screen doesn't matter to me. What happens when he's there is much more important (see: Hulk).

The Cap that takes on and defeats super-powered opponents was not present. Movie Cap was having a hard time against a regular dude with a gun. I mean, come on...

Anyway, good movie. I felt like the other Avengers were given a fair shake (except I think Thor would stomp Loki really quickly in a hand to hand fight).

Well Cap never defeated Loki in the comics and he shouldn't beat him in the film, besides that was the only super powered person he fought.

Thor did stomp Loki when they started fighting hand to hand, as a matter of fact Loki only got like 2 shots in the entire fight.

Wow, umm...I don't even want to know how you got those times..

Actually that scene was subtly brilliant. CAP would have had to go down to the guys level to beat him and in doing so he would have had to leave his 'post', i.e., standing by the red level so to pull it at the right moment. As a soldier leaving your post is unthinkable. You could see that he was just trying to keep the guy with the machine gun at bay and stay at his 'post'.

As a Hulk fan, I am extremely dissapionted in his portrayal!

Jk, he was a beast. I just wish he had more lines, but his personality did show through this time.

I am also a big Hawkeye fan, so I was a bit dissapointed he wasn't the same Barton from EMH. I like Hawkeye to be a witty smartass, and also missed his banters with the Hulk. Regardless, he was a total badass in the movie.

Iron Man was done exceptionally well. I wanted to see him in extended fights with a chance to show off how powerful the suit is. Done perfectly.

Hulk - What can I say that hasn't been said already? Redemption comes to mind.

Hmmm... maybe we shouldn't bring comics into this, Cap solos omnipotent beings in there.

Maybe Cap just needed one super flashy moment? Even though Cap took charge and saved civilians, I still see people calling him useless. :csad:

My favorite was Iron Man. And yea, i think he was pretty beast. Love when he tased Banner and looked at his eyes lol
