Does anyone take the Oscars seriously anymore?

Honestly, movies today are not as good as the Golden Age. It's all style and no real substance. Nothing innovative enough, that includes TDK (wake up on that guys). The Oscars are about promoting films they feel represent the best American values. Usually that will include a great romantic film or remind people of American patriotism.

That's not what the masses want but what all the teeny boppers want. It's just like the Spike TV awards, all those *****es voted like hell for Twilight and that won multiple awards when it shouldn't have with the competition it had. Those teens just voted the hell out of Twilight again for the People's Choice awards.
