Days of Future Past Does the first class of pupils consist of 11 mutants?

This is relatively knew to me, I dont know the source to this but a friend informs me that he read that there will be 11 mutants to first attend Xaviers School For The Gift but only 5 will become X-Men. Has something to do with the X-Men Uniforms...

This news/speculation/rumour would make sense. Xavier and Magneto both set up the school together yet they fell apart, so im guessing characters like Mystique and Toad would leave with Magneto.

So who could be the 11?

1. Cyclops - already confirmed
2. Emma Frost - already confirmed
3. Beast - already confirmed
4. Mystique - she has been casted, she may of been one of the first pupils
5. Banshee - already confirmed
6. Multipleman - rumoured
7. Havok - already confirmed
8. Willow - already confirmed, although in my oppinion i think shes playing Jean, but there sending us red herrings

9 . Storm - Speculated, but not yet casted
10. Jean - well she hasnt been confirmed yeat
11. Toad - it would make sense

Yes, really. Just because you feel Forge is too old to be a student doesn’t mean production does. There are people that think Banshee is too old to be a student, and Banshee may very well be older than Forge.

I agree that Banshee is closer to xaviers age in the comics, but in the comics Banshee never really looked old until the 00's when they started drawing him older looking. When he was first introduced his age looked old but then suddenly he looked younger. So im guessing his age flutuated during the comics where as Forge has always seemed old. The only time he has been portrayed as young is in the x-men evolution and wolverine and the x-men cartoons.

Yes... because this movie is one of many adaptations in a franchise that maintains a separate timeline and altogether different universe than the comic books, a franchise in which characters like Angel and Iceman are no longer longtime students and founding members of the X-Men, a franchise in which characters like Emma Frost and Silver Fox are now sisters, and a franchise in which Jean Grey murders Cyclops and Professor Xavier, among many other changes.

i thought fc was just gonna be the original 5 x-men angel beast iceman cyclops jean. now they added some others that are like wtf. what is this movie about someone explain please. i know its about prof x and magneto being friends and falling out. then the x-men are formed to battle magneto. is that about right? why the heck is emma frost in the movie.

also banshee is in the movie too? might as well do the 2 teams banshee storm nightcrawler colossus thunderbird sunfire, and cyclops jean beast angel iceman. have the original x-men captured and the third team saves them while thunderbird dies in the process.

It's a prequel to the existing films.

Angel and Iceman are too young to have been around when Xavier and Magneto were young men.

Why would you think it's anything but a prequel? Bryan Singer is producing it for crying out loud.

It has nothing to do with the First Class comic book or with the original X-Men comic book team because that version of events didn't happen on the big screen.

Well, it's still not quite certain if the movie will spend most of its time building on Xavier's and Erik's relationship or will it spend most of its time building on the formation of the actual X-Men.

ok if they are basing it on the movies then who are the original x-men cyclops jean storm beast. i just hope they don't try to put wolverine in it. also multiple man was introduced in x3 and magneto or the other brotherhood didnt know him, so putting him in the movie would be weird. putting emma frost in just cause she showed up in wolverine as a throw away character is dumb. she is just a poor man's jean anyway. your gonna have 3 telepaths, that would be weird, they might just make here fight in diamond form and never mention she is telepathic which would suck for frost fans. im counting on jean being in the film thats why i say 3 telepaths. if cyclops jean and storm are out it will not be a prequel. i still think they are trying to just do a reboot under the guise of starting back at the beginning.

It's going to be a little bit of both I would think, but if this movie does box office #'s then I guess parts 2 & 3 will build up the young X-Men team

In X1 Xavier said Scott, Storm, Jean were some of his first students, so maybe Banshee, Mystique, Havoc & who ever else is cast could have been students...

I think Emma is a love interest for Charles not a student, i.m.o I would think she's a established telepath whose power is similar to Charles, since its been stated in comics...I could see her character being jealous that Charles is devoting his time with his students not her, maybe she might become jealous of Jean if Charles spends more time w/her developing her powers and thus causing her to leave him and join the Hellfire club or starting her own academy...so basically ignore the cameo of her in XMO:W

when Eric & Xavier split their could be some students who follow him, ie Mystique and in (possible) sequels we may see them building the Brotherhood

but to answer your ? you are right they are going back to the beginning, but to the same universe Singer created
