I'm with just about everyone else here, I loved the first mini but anything after that have no interest in. I wouldn't mind sending him to space though, I don't think I'd have much of a problem with him if he wasn't on earth.

He should totally stay on Earth. He's of much more use stopping earthquakes and other catastrophes under the radar

Then he could got to heaven and play Poker with Bary Allen, Uncle Ben, and Ted Cord every Tuesday night.
Isn't at least one of those characters alive again?

Marvel has everything but Superman. It's just another attempt to have a Superman right down to the S emblem.I also didn't appreciate the fact that they masacred what ever may have been left of their continuity with one character.

The Sentry didn't massacre Marvel's continuity. Everything about his origin screams "inconsequential retcon." I mean, what really happened? The Sentry played a part in several heroes' origins and helped inspire them to be better, but absolutely nobody remembers any of that crap. Therefore, as far as Marvel's continuity goes, we're all better off considering New Avengers his first appearance.

Bendis really ruined the character. Maybe someday, somebody else will take him and do something with him, but as it stands right now? He really needs to either die, or go back to character limbo to be retooled at a later date.

Yeah, the Sentry totally sucks now. If Bendis considers the Sentry so uber-powerful that he essentially needs to write ways around even letting him participate in a fight, I shudder to think of how he'll portray Thor in SI #4. :(

Thor: "Face the wrath of the Odinso--"
Skrull: "You let your father stay dead, and you can't find Sif!"
*Thor runs away crying*

Daredevil will knock him out.

With a limo.

Bottom line: Thor's the only one who should be wearing a cape in the marvel U. Lol

He's been abused terribly and I'd say it's due to the fact no one's that's had an extended hand with him seems to understand how to write a character with that sort of scope in regards of power.

Making him unstable mentally was a good handicap at first, now it's simply been overplayed. His conversation in CW NA 24 was a good bit of insight had they been able to hold that tempo and balance it.

To be fairer: Hulk was wasting a lot of people he shouldn't have been able to in that story.

Yeah, actually, I could see that. Black Bolt's a bit questionable, but I doubt anyone would have him just fly around and hit the Hulk with screams 'cause that makes too much sense and would result in a boring comic.

I hate Sentry.

And I am amazed I went on a rant about SI #2 without even mentioning how sissy he was. I guess it is because saying Sentry is a sissy is like noticing that the sky is blue.

Yeah, it may be Bendis' fault, but Bendis is the only writer interested in Sentry for anything long term, so y'all are stuck with him. Much like with, sniffle, Hawkeye.
