Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

Hey Blaque, reading your post sounds like me reading one of my own reviews. LOL For a while now I've put in my reviews how there has been very little showing of the supporting cast for quite some time. Something I've loved about this book always was the giant supporting character list, and they haven't been used much recently. Looks like Normie will be showing up in issue 79 for sure though. I still wouldn't quit this book over that. I still enjoy it. The stories have still been good, but not fantastic. That's also why the issues after Marked For Death haven't been getting really high ratings on my reviews.

Oh, and Davida is NOT Ladyhawk. LOL

Blaque didn't say he was considering dropping the book. I did. I'm confident that it is going to improve once all this Lady Ock/Canis stuff gets over and done with, but if it doesn't then I'm probably going to have to spend my money elsewhere.

I know Blaque didn't say it. It hurts me whenever I hear one of those few online Spider-Girl fans is thinking of dropping the book. They even published you, John.

I know, and Spider-Girl is being given more chance than most simply because of my history with the book... I mean I own ALL of it. I may have not been there from the very start but I tracked down 59 back issues, a 1/2 issue, an annual and 2 mini-series in what was possibly the best deal I ever got from eBay!

From the solicitations I've seen for the future it does appear that Tom is going to move back towards the supporting cast + there's that cover to issue #81 is it? You know the one I mean.... its got a certain lady on the front cover who's lookin a little green?

I've always considered Spider-Girl and USM to be kinda similar. If you look at the things that make them both work, they are a lot alike. And if I was buying USM now instead of Spider-Girl... it would be in the same position because that has lost (as Themanofbat put it) its "oomph" recently too IMO.

As I said, I just got hold of issue #77 and that issue made me excited about the title again. It was really great and I'm looking forward to seeing how it finally all concludes.

Does that sound a little more optimistic?

Issue 77 was Gr8! Can't wait for my pre order for my next issue to come in so they can wrap up the Doc Ock thing.

A Spider-Girl update!

Alright folks, by now you guys should know that i'm a HUGE Spider-Girl fan, and the fact that i hear some people here really like the title, i look for post's to read about her, and there are none! So i decided to be the official Spider-Girl thread master! Because quite frankly, her title is just as good good, if not better, than her Dad's! So i'll do my best to keep those who like Spider-Girl informed, and hopefully, i'll get a little support and feedback from you guys out there. I'd appreciate anything anyone can give to this thread, and i'm not bias to anyone's opinions either. Although i look for postive feedback, i know to also expect some negative as well.

Ok guys, here it is! Come and get it!! And thanks for your support!

I am a Spidey Girl Fanatic.. I think PPl on the Web Needs to put up some more Mayday info...-_-

next issue should be an awsome conclusion to the arc. i hope the next arc isn't as long, but just as good. i'm sure all those on the fence will be brought back into the yard with in the next issue or two.

Also my first time on these boards. I ve been buying spidergirl since issue 69 which I really enjoyed. Don't know why I havent posted here before. Anyway can't wait for issue 78 , looks good.

eBay... its where I got all mine. All I am missing is What If? #105 but I got Spider-Girl #0 which is a reprint.

Still..... I'd like to have it though....

I'd also recommend the other MC2 books. A-Next and Fantastic Five were really good series.

I got my set a little over a year ago off ebay for about $50. Very cheap compared to now.

I had a lot of posts to catch up on here, but I didn't see anyone mentioning the news about the upcoming digests.

First of all, the second digest is scheduled for November. It's listed in the new previews catalogue and looks like it will have the same cover as Spider-Girl No. 1.

Second, Tom revealed in an interview that he's already working on the third digest.

Third, and take this one with a grain of salt, Amazon.com has a fourth Spider-Girl digest listed for next spring, with the third due for publication in January (however, Amazon still says the second digest will be published in early September, so I don't go by Amazon's release dates.

Also, on Joe Quesada's message boards some Marvel honcho floated the possibilities of releasing more MC2 titles as digests. Yes, someone from Marvel started this discussion!

And finally, those who have been complaining about the long story arcs and lack of the high school cast (I've been very happy with Spider-Girl lately, though) will be cheered by the solicitation for No. 80, which says the Moose-Courtney mystery will be addressed and that Davida will help an injured Spider-Girl face the dragon king. Sounds awesome to me!

We're all glad that you've joined the team White Howling! Spider-Girl rocks! Welcome to Spider-Girl Hype!

Definitely Jeffers! I just can't imagine what kind of secert Moose is keeping, and why it has made him act like a jerk toward Courtney. Whatever it is, it must be big!

I'm glad that Dragon King is returning, even if I've never liked his origin.

I'm disapointed with these updates. I can't have a signature until I get 100 posts, and I can't have an avatar until 300, but if I want a bigger one it would have to be 5000 posts. *Sigh*
