Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

I read it the other day, and it was a good solid issue.
One small detail that I enjoyed was seeing the old web-shooters on Peter's wrist, meaning the organics never occured (which would make sense in the M2 Universe). It was also neat to see Max and get a glimpse of how his life turned out.

It was a good issue.

Well that too Jeffers, but most importantly- this is the only book that continues in the true tradition of the Sliver Age era of Spider-Man. Whenever i'm in a comic book conversation, i've never had to say too much about Spider-Girl because even the old school comic heads' know how good a read Spider-Girl truly is-(now only if they'd BUY the book since they like it so much!!) So yes- threads and sites like these are reaching the masses, and we're winning new fans daily. So as long as we continue fighting the good fight, and spreading the word- the number of new readers will continue to rise! So keep spreading the word, Spider-Girl is the shiz-nit!!
Amen.

#81 was a good issue, I like the one shots that can tell a really good story, and this was a good story. I agree with Theman, I was happy to see the webshooters as well on Spidey. It was also nice to see Spidey getting the respect of the younger heroes, kind of like when the hall of fame player walks into a room full of younger players.

Alright gang- BSM here, and i first off my aplogies for the delay in my review, but a near death in the family took my attention away from everthing comic related. Thankfully all is well, and today was my last day of school- so i'm all good now! So please look out for that review, i promise it'll be great...well not as good as Congo Kong (wink!), but somewhere along those lines! Hope you guys are havin' a great time this holiday season lookin' for gifts an' stuff, if any of you guys' wanna get me anything (hint hint!!)...a subscription to my favorite web-swingers' would be lovely!! LOL! Anyways- you guys' have good one, and i'll holla! (Nice tagline Spydie Burning- Spaceballs!)

Hate to break it to you Blaque, but I've stopped doing reviews at Spider-Man Crawl Space. The reason for this was, mainly, because it's hard to get a lot of spare time now with work and school. Also though, I've felt my reviews are getting a little repetitive, and that it's time for a new person's opinion on the title. I'll still continue to read this wonderful comic though. My last review is one of issue 80 BTW.

We learned from Newsarama.com today that Tom DeFalco's wife, Pat, died over the weekend.

Head over to the Spider-Girl Message Board for information on sending a memorial gift in her name to the American Cancer Society.

How sad. Poor Tom and his family. Thanks for letting us know and providing link.

My sincerest condolences to the De Falco family, i know the shattering effects that cancer can have on a family (my sister is a surviving cancer paitent). My prays, and thoughts go out to you and your family Tom. God bless....

Hey there gang, i know it's been really dry in here for a while, and we're all still feeling the loss of Mrs. Pat DeFalco, so i just wanted to spread a little joy to our thread by wishing all of you guys' a Merry Christmas! Also i was thinking, has May been sick yet in any issues? I don't recall, but i wonder if her spider-powers would go wonky like her Dad's when he would get sick. I'd like to see an issue where she's sick, and isn't at 100% against...(what was the name of that male cat burgular??)- well anyway, him, and while she's at her weakest point, he pulls up her mask to her nose to give her a kiss, but before he lands his kiss- she beats the snot outta of him! That would be a funny issue. Anyways, i'll take my leave- Happy Holidays!

Has anyone heard of Spider-Girl being renewed? There are only 5 confirmed issues left. I'm getting a little concerned.

I've often thought the same for a number of other titles (not including Spider-Girl of course), but then I remember that people should be free to pursue enjoyment so long as it doesn't infringe upon other people's pursuit of the same. And I'm reminded of what Marv Wolfman said in "Comic Creators on Spider-Man," that an older "professional" comic book readership has imposed its aesthetic on comics to create an "exclusive readership" during the past 10 or 20 years. With a recent greater demand for vulgar (I won't say "mature") spectacle and an egocentric intolerance for any comic which doesn't appeal to one's own self regardless of the support and care that title may enjoy with other readers ... well, these exclusionary desires of the "hardcore comics readership" influencing the industry will ensure that ALL comic books will eventually become extinct when this generation of readers moves on.

Is that what we're really aiming for? Or would the more mature path be to allow people to enjoy what they will especially if it aids in the pursuit of readers outside of our "exclusive general comic book reading club" with books like Spider-Girl (which has a demographically diverse appeal to young and old) so that we can germinate a new generation of readers so that comics will continue well into the future? Which road will we go down? Personally, I don't think intolerance would be the wisest course.

I used to read Spider-Girl. I have several of the early issues, including #1. However, the only Marvel comic I keep up to date with now is Fantastic Four. I used to keep up with Wolverine and Captain America but not anymore. Only about a month ago did I go to the Marvel site and figure out what was going on in the Marvel universe as of late.

Wow...!! That's all i can say after reading the latest issue of Spider-Girl!! First off, my apologies for my lack of presence here, but i had so much friggin' spyware on my computer, it wouldn't even allow me to log on to the internet- so i went and had a new PC built. I've been missing this thread so much, but i'm here now, and the latest installment of my favorite web-stunner was simply AMAZING! I can't believe that Elan went there on Normie! Oh snap, and what about Darkdevil?? (Where's Kaine when DD needs 'em now?) Also, i'm thinking that May will find out who DD really is, and his true connection with her dad. I can't wait until the next issue, as the plot will obviously thicken!!

Have faith CK, just because we haven't had an update on the status of the renewal shouldn't raise any flags. I think out of respect for Tom in his time of mourning, Marvel may just be giving him the time he needs to gather himself, but i think we have nothing to worry about.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while; I've been having some Internet connection problems too.

I was wondering something. It seems a lot of people have been selling full runs of Spider-Girl on eBay lately. What does this mean? That the stock on our girl has risen and they want to cash in, or that they're just sick of their Spider-Girl collection?

The arches are cliche? I don't remember seeing Spider-Girl eating at McDonald's lately.
