TIH and FF are very expensive films... they just flat lined. Hulk didn't even gross 250 million once. That is a flop in many respects.

The Fast and the Furious cost 38mill and made 207mill WW, thats a profit of 169 mill

2 Fast 2 Furious cost 76 mill and made 236mill WW, thats a profit of 160mill

Tokyo Drift wouldnt have cost as much as the second one (Boxoffice Mojo doesnt seem to know how much it cost to make) and made 158 mill WW, lets say it cost 60mill, thats 90 mill profit.

TIH cost 150mill and made only 110 mill in profit. TFATF movies cost less and make just as much in terms of profit. Marvel wouldnt have put in 150mill just for 110mill in profit. It doesnt make sense, business wise, to make another Hulk movie.

Anyway...I think they are saving Hulk for the Avengers movie. Iron Man, Cap, Thor and co will probably be spending most of the movie trying to subdue Hulk. Then at the end another threat comes along, they have an uneasy truce with Hulk and he saves the day. Something like that is pretty plausible. And could be awesome to see on screen.

But i wouldn't expect Ed Norton back.

Although I love Norton as an actor and enjoyed his performance in TIH, I was a lil puzzled at Marvel having him because I ALWAYS found it hard to believe that they'd be able to get more than one film out of him... and that was before the conflict between Norton and Marvel.

Well I didn't like the fact that Gen.Ross wasn't Gen.Ross, the father of Betty Ross. He didn't seem to give a crap about her.

I didn't like that they completely ignored the whole Hulk thinking Banner is a "puny human" thing.

I didn't like that the Hulk didn't do what Hulk does, jump for miles.

I didn't like that they changed Blonsky from being Russian. I mean, why did they do that? Tim Roth is a brilliant actor, he could EASILY pull off a Russian accent.

.... add to this list the average CG, Abomi's design being changed and he ended up looking like a reject from a Resident Evil movie, the crap-tacular final fight, the list goes on and on

Five was last year, and I was very disappointed with it. I enjoy them for their awesome twists (first especially) but the fifth was mediocre.

I may be just in denial, but I think everyone is being a little pre-mature. Hulk will play a big role in Avengers....and I wouldn't completely count Norton out of that yet. The talent that is going to be involved in Avengers is going to be a big lure. We'll see Hulk on the big screen again.

Hate to drag this out but:

Fifth sequel = Saw VI. He was right the first time.

Anyway, maybe it's possible for someone over at marvel to come up with a kick-ass concept for a TIH sequel. I recall reading that Leterrier wasn't really sure where the story and the character might go from here.

Just do Hulk VS. movies from here on in. Take whatever characters Marvel still has the rights to and make it their movie until Banner or the Hulk show up.
