This episode seriously warrants a few other viewings. Sooooo good.

There is an artistry to this episode that you rarely see on TV these days. Wow.

And I think people in the industry and in the audience are going to discover a potential new star in Kacey Rohl.

that girl is....WOW. beautiful. :wow: I may end up totally crushing on her.

infact this show has a lot of beautiful women in its cast, even the girl playing rule 63 lounds.

Watching this right now. That early scene where Hannibal watches Will talking about the copycat and looks so proud of Will for describing him so accurately gives me chills.

Also, Freddy Lounds is such a *****.

I'll mirror everyone else so far and say that tonight's episode was spectacular. So much good stuff. I don't tend to rewatch TV shows, at least not until a season is done and even then I wait at least a few months -but I am seriously thinking of rewatching Hannibal so far.

Also, looks like you got your wish Eklypze, Hannibal pulled off something violent. Sucks you missed the last five minutes though man, maybe don't read my next paragraph.

The relationship between Hannibal and Abigail is an interesting one, kind of foreshadowing for the future (although the show as a lot of that). Will Abigail be a kind of 'apprentice' of sorts?

I get that but this is tv, not film. They HAVE to develop Hannibal a bit more. Plus, if we don't get to see him commit at least a couple of his own murders and serving them up or whatever I'm just gonna be pissed.

I'm sure it will come, but I'm glad they're not rushing it. Hannibal's acts of violence should be few and far between, I guess is what I'm getting at. Like calm, cool and collected, polite and charming 99% of the time, but for that 99% percent, as the audience, we are seeing the constant threat of that remaining 1%. And when we do see him unleash, it's truly something.

I loved that part too. It was great how Hannibal's expression barely changed, so subtle. Phenomenal acting.

As for Freddy, she's a great villain. The kind you love you to hate, which will make it all the more satisfying when she eventually goes on her hot-to-trot roller ride.

Finished this. Wow. Every episode of this is better than the last, and is Mads ever chilling.

He's really like the Devil perched on everyone's shoulders.

This **** is getting gooood.

This episode was sooo good. It really kept me going back and forth on whether or not I believed Abigail was helping her father kill those girls.

On a random note, the sound effect when Hannibal knocked Dr. Bloom into the wall made my head hurt, lol.

I'm betting if we see Hannibal to anything outrageous this season, it'll be in the final episode.

Very curious about this, although I have an idea what it's about :cwink: We'll see..

Haven't seen episode 3 yet, looking forward to it. I LOVE that people like the show so much and has already a big following (oops). Oh, and last night it was David Slade's turn to do live chat on twitter with fans, but he didn't say something particularly interesting.. Only that last night's episode was his favorite, he called it "a slow-burn horror show"

I don't know if last night's episode was as strong overall as last week's, but it definitely had its moments! A lot of critics are saying Mikkelsen and Dancy's portrayals of the characters are closer to the characters of the books than even the films. Any of you who have read Red Dragon agree? I know I'm enjoying both of them, as well as Lawrence Fishburne as Crawford.

Hmmm, as much as I like this show, I don't really agree with that.

The impression I got about Will from Red Dragon is that he's a fairly normal guy, with a terrifying gift. He's not the neurotic socially backward guy we see on TV; William Peterson is IMO the most accurate interpretation of him so far.

Hannibal is also a funny one, because (more avid readers can correct me if I'm wrong here) that it was kind of retconned to make him an exotic European, due mainly to Hopkins' portrayal. Based purely on the first two books, I always pictured him as an upperclass American, like Frasier Crane or Winchester from MASH.

A "big fight" eh? Interesting! It sure would be neat to see the impeccably tidy, well groomed Hannibal get into a brawl. I wonder who it will be with...probably a suspect, I suppose.

Well there was that one shot in the previews after the first episode that showed Hannibal's face bloodied a bit and him looking like he was either reeling or maybe relishing from just being hit. God I can't ****ing wait for this! I haven't been this excited for a show week to week in a while

It's a shame, in every possible way, but understandable. Hopefully we will get to see the episode down the line, however.

I'm sure it would end up on DVD, once there's been a bit more time to heal.

Me either. The only other show I'm watching at the moment is Vikings, which I greatly enjoy, but Hannibal is really taking the cake right now.

It's a shame they pulled an episode. Serial killings occur all the time, but they still go ahead and make the show.

How can they pull an episode of this?!?! It's going to screw the entire show up

Because they don't want backlash from anyone. You see what MacFarlane got for that Family Guy ep.

From the look of that shot in the preview it looks like it was in his office.

I love how calm Hannibal speaks to Lounds and she just looks up and doesn't even say a word to him just turns to Will and starts talking. I couldn't help but laugh at that

I recognized that guy that accused Abigail of killing his sister from Charlie Bartlett. I wonder what else he's been in.

EDIT : umm.... since he's not listed for Hannibal on IMDB , I guess either it wasn't him but someone who looked a lot , a lot, a lot a lot, or.... exactly like him, or imdb needs to update their ****.

He was also in 30 Days of Night, directed by David Slade who also directed last nights episode.
