Ah crap, they're not. I don't want to max out my XP right away. What's the fun in that?

Does the game scale to your level? If it does, probably doesn't matter all that much

Holy balls, I'm totally trying that tonight. Not to max it out, though. Probably just to gain a good 5 levels or so and get some sweet powers unlocked.

GOD! This game is so fun, but the Quarani (i think thats the spelling) are waaay too difficult to fight.

Does anyone know what Hawke's signature armor is called or how to get it? (the one you start the game with) It look awesome... :o

Hey, so, has anyone gone to the Options > Account > View customer support information thing? I go there and it lists 4 DLC for me: the Black Emporium, the Exiled Prince, Signature Edition Rewards, and "Thrice-Enchanted Gloves." Does anyone know what that last one is? I've never heard of it and I'm relatively sure I didn't redeem/download it...

...Hmmm, I'll have to check. My Blood Dragon armor didn't port over... not that I could wear it.

Man, the intro part goes by maaaaad quick when you skip through everything. I created a new character who, oddly enough, wound up looking a lot like Danny Trejo. So I embraced it and gave him the long, single braid hairstyle and a massive goatee. :D Pretty cool to see my family become bronze-skinned hispanic-looking folks too. Although I think default white Bethany is hotter due to her far better hairstyle.

I got my Blood Dragon Armor. But I'm a Mage, so I'm saving it for Carver, or preferably some other (cooler) character.

Might as well sell it. Only Hawke can wear armor. Everyone else has a specialized outfit that you can't even unequip.

Anyone name their dog anything cool? I named him Dove 'cause, you know... Hawke and Dove. :D

D'oh! Totally forgot about that.

More importantly, what did you guys name your Hawkes? Tony? Tommy? Hudson?

Tom Clancy's?

God, I love it when party members completely ignore their tactics.

Since mine came out looking like Danny Trejo, I went with a Spanish name. I was originally going to go with one of Trejo's characters, but his characters tend to have really ridiculous names like "Razor" or really boring, normal names. So instead I looked up the Spanish word for "hawk" and named my character that. So he's Halcon Hawke. :)

Here's a picture, by the way:

I went with Caine Hawke.

I'm really liking the game so far, even though I haven't the faintest idea what the story is beyond theories and what we knew already. A lot of Act 1 feels like world building, which I always love.

I named mine Donovan. I would post a picture, but I keep changing his appearance and can't settle on one look. :/

Gah. FINALLY I killed that ****ing dragon.

It's ironic that in a series called "Dragon Age", the dragon encounters are far and away the worst thing about it.

You mean the Dragon in the Bone Pit? I actually thought he was easy compared to some of the Dragons in DAO.

It was easier. But it's a giant pain in the ass when half of your party is bugged or something.

I think my biggest concern hitting the 15 hour mark is how much of the game is the same areas over and over again. I'm getting serious ME1 flashbacks with that same cave that we keep visiting, I could probably draw a map of that thing by now and Kirkwall is starting to wear out its welcome. I get they wanted to set this in a single city and that's fine, but I was expecting it to be... bigger and more varied.

I've got the Deep Roads up ahead so here's to a change of scenery.

The story + party is as usual extremely good but that's basically boilerplate at this point when it comes to Bioware games.

Yeehaw got my copy already, Signature edition BABY! <3

I COULD see that becoming an issue, because I got slightly annoyed (not extremely, slightly) in DAO... but I'm hoping that it doesn't. I enjoy the city quite a bit but at times I do wish we could travel to other lands.

I'm sure we will in the eventual expansion... which, you know we'll get.

I noticed the repetitive look of the areas surrounding Sundermount right away. There are like 3 missions in 3 separate areas besides Sundermount on the "outlying areas" map (or whatever it's called), and every single one of them looks like the same stretch of beach. I assume we'll start to see more varied areas as Hawke's fame/infamy rises and he starts traveling to other areas, though.
