This seems to be getting pretty positive reviews. Unfortunately they're kind of useless for me personally, Dragon Age II got mostly good reviews after all. I really want to hear from someone who thought DAII was terrible.
put video from pc gamer ad they thought that

You need to remember that DAI will not have direct save game imports from the previous games, it will all be carried out using Keep. This is to help with console generation and format changes, as well as save game bugs in the previous games. The Keep will create your World State that you will import into DAI to reflect your decisions from the first two games. Also Bioware have said that they plan to add more choices into the Keep, so if they make a DLC that requires the game to know a choice made in a previous game that the Keep does not currently record then they can just add it in.

Also when you have made your choices you can have the story narrated to you by Varric, which is cool :yay:
they also stated with in the article's I just requoted that the The Last Court Bridge's Dragon Age 2 to DAI . so it's important too

Dragon Age: Inquisition gameplay — the first few hours

Tom and I recently played the first few hours of Dragon Age: Inquisition. Soon after, we locked ourselves into a small room to talk about combat, quests and bewildering lore. This is that chat.
Elsewhere on the site, Tim was more positive about the game's opening. You can read his impressions here, and his interview with executive producer Mark Darrah here.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is due out 18 November. Expect our full review next week

Dragon Age: Inquisition review

Need To Know

What is it? The third in Bioware's series of fantasy RPGs.
Copy protection: Origin
Price: £50/$60
Release date: 18 November
Publisher: EA
Developer: Bioware
Multiplayer: 4-player co-op
Website: Official site

Here’s a quick Dragon Age quiz. Who are the Seekers of Truth? What’s their relation to the Chantry? If Divine Justinia V is killed in a massive explosion that creates a breach in the fabric of reality, do her closest advisors have the political authority to reform the Inquisition? What is the Inquisition? What was the Inquisition? If a person walks out alive from the now swirling green demon hole, are they the Herald of Andraste? What do the Tevinter Imperium have to do with anything?
If you don’t know these things, Dragon Age: Inquisition’s opening lore-maelstrom threatens to drown you. Over two previous games, an expansion, and numerous tie-in comics and novels, BioWare has created a rich and broad history, much of which shapes the events of this enormous third RPG. It’s initially overwhelming, as names of people, places and events are tossed casually into the narrative.
My advice? Stick with it. Inquisition is taking you on a long and satisfying journey, with plenty of time to work out what’s what and who’s who. Now, after the 50-plus hours it took me to finish the main campaign, I feel more versed in the intricacies of the world than ever. More than that, I feel like I’ve had a bigger impact on it than in either previous game. I’ve navigated the polite intrigue of Orlesian politics, recruited powerful and dangerous allies, and elevated the Inquisition from a band of fringe heretics into one of the most feared and admired orders in all of Thedas. Also, I’ve fought a dragon or two.

Cullen, receiving his award for Mr Serious Business, 2014. The game opens in the village of Haven. It’s ten years after the events of Dragon Age: Origins, a few weeks after the epilogue of Dragon Age 2, and the exact moment that the Temple of Sacred Ashes is destroyed in a sky-tearing blast of unknown origin. Inside, the head of the Chantry—the world’s main religious organisation—was attempting to negotiate peace between the warring Templars and mages. Where the temple once stood, there is now only a dangerous and growing vortex that threatens to engulf the world. You are the only survivor.

I play on PS3 and it handles fine enough for me (though it may have been a bit buggier when it originally released, but there were patches released also). If all you want to do is play the game in the way that suits your tastes best then the console version will do fine.
I have it for the PS3 as well. The framerate is miserable.

So I really don't have the extra time to invest into previous dragon age games. Do you guys think I would still enjoy this game? Or is it absolutely necessary to play the first two?

I wouldn't recommend playing DA:I without at least playing Origins. It's a great game and you're going to be kinda lost with the story since some major characters from it play very large roles. DA2 you can skip although I enjoyed it. Since you use Dragon Age Keep for importing a world state to Inquisition, you don't have to spend extra time to get the desired outcomes you want. You can just change the option in Keep if you didn't like it.

Well maybe I'll try origins and then by the time I'm done, Inquisition will be lower in price.

Be warned, Dragon Age 3 will freeze your PS$, and you have to hard reset it. Bioware is working on a patch to fix it. Apparently it isn't Bioware's fault, but Sony's. Their latest update caused this.

It's coming. Can't wait to lost countless nights when playing this game :D

Have this pre-loaded but probably won't get to it til December (besides the 6 day trial that starts TOMORROW!) Gonna go through GTAV and Far Cry 4 first knowing how long this is.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. on Dragon Age: Inquisition
Mass Effect 3 actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. is lending his pipes to another BioWare game, Dragon Age: Inquisition. Jose catches up with him to learn more about his character.

I forgot this was an EA backed game. Hmm, I wonder what kind of EA shenanigans are in store for us. :hmm

Nothing like Activision ones.. At gb is point it doesn't matter. I played 3 hours last night. Created a human male archer and my my this game is good.. The tactical command is like gravy topping already delicious mashed potatoes. It's gonna be a hard wait till Tuesday once my six hour trial is up.

^ sounds good!!

so, do you have to use a credit card to sign up for Access?? or can you use the $ in your MS account?

and, if you just sign up for 1 month, is it easy to cancel it?

Joystiq Streams: Expect Dragon Age: Inquisition

[YT]8nkQPZYTvz0[/YT]

"Dragon Age: Inquisition is an immense fantasy epic, a sprawling adventure across the many landscapes of Thedas, unapologetically mature in its exploration of politics and brazen in its combat," says Joystiq's Alexander Sliwinski in his 5-star review of BioWare's first RPG for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. "Inquisition is also developer BioWare's redemption song. It's everything that a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins should have been, and time will slip by as players enjoy the hundred hours of escapades it delivers."

Powerful words about an RPG from a studio that hit a serious rough patch after 2009's Origins, but seeing is believing. Does Dragon Age: Inquisition really deliver all that and more as Alexander says it does? He'll take us on a guided tour of the game starting at 4:00PM EST on Joystiq.com/Twitch.

Joystiq.com/Twitch broadcasts every Tuesday and Thursday at 4:00PM EST, but sometimes we just get the itch to play. On Friday? We'll be playing the new Mario Kart 8 DLC. At what time? Follow us on Twitch to find out.
