Animation Dragonball HQ - Part 1

I'm starting to side eye SSB. This whole 'Goku is holding back' thing is getting ridiculous. And I don't care how many years 17 has been training. There's no way he should be able to hang with a SSB Goku :whatever:

This guy here has a valid point.

********! If 17 can get so radically strong in 10 years or so, (Mind you, he has a wife and kids now, "trains" against poachers and doesn't even have time for real training since he couldnt even spare 2 hours for the Tournament of Power like Goku asked for because his Island's always in danger)...then why the **** was Cell made then? Why? We have perfection right here.

Also, to destroy this whole "Well frieza trained for 4 months, too so..." excuse, if 10 years is all it takes to randomly become god tier from feeble beings, mind you, then how the **** were the androids from the future ended up being WEAKER than the present time androids who were only slightly stronger than SS1? FFS Both 17 and 18 had at least 15 YEARS of training from killing the Z Warriors, Trunks inevitable birth, Finally killing off adult Gohan to Trunks finally turning SS1 and leaving to the present timeline, and the androids literally progressed even less fighting the ****ing Z warriors and killing off the human race!

Don't give me any of that **** lol. And we havent even started with Goku, the same ***** who literally just said he can't sense 17's energy, is going BLUE to then gauge and match his ki he sure as hell has no clue of...This whole episode was just complete nonsense. Pretty much just as stupid as GT's Super 17 nonsense.

It's Dragon Ball man. A whole heck of a lot in Dragon Ball makes absolutely no sense at all when you get right down to it.

Yes, it's a show/manga where a dog-man is king of the earth!

I've stopped worrying about power levels and all of that b.s. a long time ago and just enjoy it.

I forget where I read it, but someone had a good explanation of explaining SSB - that would kind of fit.

Imagine regular "SS" as a stick that burns.
"SS2" as a log that burns.

and "SS3" as a whole damn tree that burns.

Now, they can light those, but they can't really control there powers, its kind of whatever that form is, they have to stay in that range, or they will depower to a prior level.

with SSB, imagine instead of a tree it's Gas propane to start a fire, they have complete control over how little, or how high the fire gets, it gives them way better control over there power levels and lets them adjust accordingly, so goku can actually be able to control exactly how strong he needs to be to fully test someone with relative ease.

I thought it was a pretty cool analogy, and fits in the universe, whether that was Akira Toriyama's intention or not, it lets me personally be understanding of it.

To quote Tien from DBZA

%#$@ Vegeta! $%#@ Super Saiyans! @#$% Power Levels!

I feel like the end goal is to have the base form be the most powerful after mastering Ki control.

Episode 88 aka How Gohan got his Mystic Back.

Fun episode...especially if you like Gohan and Piccolo.

Piccolo being able to control a cut off arm and fire blasts was interesting.

ALSO Female Broly has a name! Caulifla. She is the younger sister of Renso, who was Cabba's former Captain in the Sadal Defense Force or SDF. Apparently she's a bit of a "punk" and seems to be running a gang. She looks VERY different than the other promotional pictures we've seen so far. Curious to see how it all plays out.

Caulifla an obvious pun on Cauliflower. Fun Fact: Cauliflower is a close relative of Broccoli. So the Broly nods continue.

Both cruciferous veggies. I like the gang thing they teased with her.

If nobody's being keeping up, given the new Xenoverse 2 DLC James Marsters is playing Zamasu in the English Dub!

Going from one green Dragon Ball villain to another! :oldrazz:

I heard that James playing Zamasu was just a rumor and the only thing backing it up was Wiki (and we all know how reliable that is)

That being said IF he does end up playing Zamasu...ooh boy thats awesome. He's a fan of the series and he EXCELS at playing villains that think they're better than everyone else.

I'm gonna be honest; I don't care about Gohan in the slightest. I'd rather the kids get more focus, and have Piccolo get his fair share.

I've never been a huge Gohan fan ether. Like he had his moments of glory, and he chose to leave the gi behind and become an academic. For the first time in his life he was free to choose what he wanted and he made his choice.

The thing is...Gohan has a lot of fans...and rabid ones at that. That being said Toei did overly nerf him and its nice to see him brought back to a level of respectability.

That being said I do agree that Piccolo, Trunks and Goten have gotten the short end of the stick in Super. Especially Goten. Piccolo has had a few moments, and Trunks had some fun with his older self. But poor Goten has been almost forgotten.

Its always been interesting to look at the history of the DB cast and see which characters get sidelined when newer characters get added in. And the crazy thing is with Super...that factor has been multiplied by 10. For every Toppo, Jiren, Hit or Cabba that gets added one of the old cast has to take the back seat. Yet at the same time Toei is not only adding but bringing back old faves like Android 17.

Toriyama finally wrote Gohan consistently, but Bandai's gotta Bandai, so Gohan has to return to fighting again, unfortunately. I was really hoping he'd stay out of the limelight for good. At least this episode made mention of how much of a piece of **** he is when it comes to actually winning fights, though.

It will be fun to see Goku and Gohan throw down in a couple of episodes

I don't mind if he gets back to his studies. I think he should keep doing what he likes. But I also hope he keeps up his training. He needs to be able to keep his friends and family safe, when Goku and Vegeta are not around.

Question for ya'll:

What do you think the big plot twist for this arc will be?

Turns out Caulfila might not actually be Female Broly

Turns out U6 might be getting ANOTHER female saiyan

Hope it's true. Would be great to not get just one, but actually 2 female Super Saiyans.

Gohan vs Cabba, Vegeta vs Caulifia, and Goku vs Kale, lets goooooo!
