Animation Dragonball HQ - Part 1

I've only been watching the english versions, so they are in the middle of RoF, but from what I've gathered it only gets better from here on out.

I can see why people can start to dislike goku for his lust to fight, but that's always been an integral part of his character.

Frieza's va Chri Ayers has been battling Emphysema these last few months. I hope he recovers.

Tentative upcoming episode titles:

"Krillin's Latent Power" hmmmm...interesting. I'm all for other characters getting a power boost. I'm sick of seeing characters like Tien and Piccolo become so useless over the years.

I'm doubting those titles for the time being, but at least they show we'll get ourselves a Kale episode. I hope a good animator handles her episode.

They were always pretty useless, though. Tenshinhan had a grand total of two victories: one against Yamcha and one against a Saibaiman.

The Legend is reborn next month

KALE POWER MAXIMUM

That's true but the gap wasn't that large until the Android saga.

Drum and Gokuu easily defeated him and then Tenshinhan died fighting Nappa despite having others help him.

I forgot the battle with Tao Pai-Pai, but it was always pretty clear that he was going to win that one.

Tien's and Nappa's power levels weren't too far off during the Sayain saga, at least not as big of a difference as the Sayains to other Z-Warrior power levels later on in the series.

I'm not 100% sure of his power after coming back from the dead, but that's when it went from being several thousand away from being near top to several million. Making him and many of the others really irrelevant.

That's what I was referring to a couple of posts back. At least he had a moment when he stalled Cell for a bit. I know he's not going to be top tier, but strong enough to be holding his own would be cool. Same for Piccolo and Krillin.

Also, why did you choose to ignore the Piccolo part of my post?

Episode 59 of DBZA is out. Just as good as expected. :D

Maybe he'll transform into a super earthling?

Nappa single-handedly chopped of Tenshinhan's arm without breaking a sweat. Tenshinhan then poured all of his remaining ki into a life-draining technique like the Kikou-Hou and still did little more than rough up Nappa's battle jacket. Nappa was far and clear away more powerful than him.

Toriyama abandoned the battle powers system used by Freeza's forces for a reason: they were restrictive and ultimately pointless. Everyone's battle power is left intentionally vague because ultimately all Toriyama cares about is doing whatever comes to mind on a week-by-week basis.

As for Piccolo, he's been useless for years. He was a non-presence on Namek, had the hell kicked out of him by #17--after three years of training with a Super Saiyan--fought to a standstill against #17 in a rematch and then did nothing for the rest of the original comic other than be use for comic relief. Fans like to over-estimate characters they like, but never as any character other than Gokuu--and very briefly Gohan--been the main character with a major importance to the series. Toriyama doesn't plan out character arcs and he doesn't set out to write character development, either.

The animosity against Universe 7 is high and they are in a tight spot, fenced in right from the get-go! Universe 7 is blamed by the other universes as they are seen to be the reason the universes are in a position to possibly destroyed by Omni-King, Zen-Oh-sama! Right as the Tournament of Power begins, Son Goku and company are hit by a concentrated attack from all the other universes. Cut off from his allies, Goku is engaging in a battle of 1-vs-8. This is the Tournament of Power so these aren’t just any enemies, they are tough opponents from across the universes. Goku, however, loves the thrill of the challenge and smiles calmly as the fight quickly heats up. How will our hero fair!? And how will Universe 7 escape from this early tight spot they are in?! We’ll have to wait how it all fairs in Dragon Ball Super Episode 98 (Oh, All in vain! The Universes Despair!!) which airs in Japan on July 9, 2017.

Not seeing eye-to-eye here. Maybe I'm not able to articulate my thoughts properly here, oh well. I ageee that the power level thing wasn't the best idea to begin with.
