Animation Dragonball HQ - Part 1

Yeah I loved this entire last episode, really highlights how far Vegeta's come over the years as a man who fights to protect what he loves.

Vegeta willingly gave Goku energy without someone begging him too...just think about that.

And damn Jiren felt that Gut Punch :sly:

Having watched Episode 128, why does Episode 127 even exist? This is this the Episode that should have followed after Vegeta's Final Explosion.

Yeah Masako gave an opinion that while lacking some emotional umph the Final Explosion against Toppo was an amazing fight, whereas this time around the fighting was meh (HE KEPT PUNCHING ME IN THE FACE) but the emotions were off the chart. Also Vegeta telling the Bulma hallucination to let him sleep was the coup de grace. SO combing the two would turn two pretty good episodes into one LEGENDARY episode. But at the same time, we had to give 17 his due.

I hope Toei does some restructuring of their writers room while they work on the new movie this summer. At times there was a noticeable lack of of cohesion from writer to the next. Im sure were going to get a new series in mid 2019 so I hope they take the time to fix somethings internally. And maybe just maybe get Toriyama to write more detailed outlines.

They just really ****ed up with the story in 127. The whole thing didn't make a whole lot of sense. First Vegeta literally lost almost all of his Ki, yet he goes unleashed Super Saiyan Blue in a matter of seconds. And Jiren goes full Power, and it doesn't make the slightest difference, because everybody can still keep up with him. And I honestly don't know if we had to give 17 his due, because he was the damn MvP of the whole tournament already.

All Episode 127 did, was make us question the writer's abilities, when Jiren at full power, got his first battle damage at the hands of 17. But I guess we could have still kept 17 protecting Goku and Vegeta and sacrificing himself, had they kept Goku and Vegeta out of the entire Episode, forcing Freezer and 17 to work together, and saved Jiren going full power for Episode 129. Because if Jiren went full power in 127, and Goku now masters Ultra Instict, Goku should waste Jiren's ass. The more I think about it, the more I just want to ignore Episode 127 altogether.

Frieza is ****ing killing me :funny:

sneaky bastard and his laugh

OOOOOOOO HO HO HOOOOO

Just watched the review of Manga Chapter 33, the official translations isn't out yet. It fixes so much that annoyed me about the anime.

Universe 7 isn't ****ing around. The moment the match begins, we get the first ring out in a matter of seconds. A number of characters that wasted precious screen time in the anime, get ringed out after several pages. Power levels actually exists and the fodder is exactly that, fodder.

And Jiren actually participates from the start and is working on ringing fighters out as well, instead of standing in the background, waiting for fighters to approach him. With the previous chapter and this one, Jiren already seems a whole lot different. He already seems more of a hero, than the stoic warrior who turns out to be a *****e. I wonder how much the Manga will change when it comes to his backstory. Because the whole might makes right attitude in the Anime is a real turn off, and he's easily one of the blandest characters in Dragonball so far. Hopefully the Manga can fix that.

Haven't checked out the manga yet, but yeah, it usually is better.

The Manga often Zigs where the anime Zagged, and to be honest Toyo zigged too much in the Goku Black arc for my taste.

That being said so far with the ToP he's done a pretty good job so far. Plus I think a BR would be easier to pull off in manga rather than anime.

I prefer the anime, but I enjoy the manga

I'm curious how he will handle all the elements from the show, in the Manga. Because if Jiren is such a beast in the Manga, as he is in the Anime, he should completely waste Universe 7. That's what I didn't like about the Anime, because if you make a character that powerful, there's no reason for him not to 1-hit K.O. everybody.

Especially with the Universe on the line, and he actually has a wish he wants granted. So he shouldn't be toying around and actually take care of everyone who's remotely a threat. But because Jiren winning the tournament in 5 minutes would make for a very boring read, they had to sideline him in the Anime, for the majority of the the arc. You could tell they had no goddamn idea what to do with him.

I also hope that he comes up with another form for Goku in the Manga. I like the idea of Ultra Instinct, but I hate that Goku got pushed to his limits like 3 or 4 times, and will eventually master a new form, in the span of 48 minutes. I'd rather have Toyotaro pull another Cell arc, and make it that either Vegeta or Goku discovered a new level in the Hyperbolic Timechamber, and they are keeping that Trump card for the final match. Or throw in Vegeto.

On a somewhat unrelated note, if there's anyone here that watches Dragon Ball Z Abridged, apparently it might be ending with the next episode. Whether that's from copyright stuff from Toei or the cast moving onto other stuff, the final episode in the Cell saga is meant to be a longer one, but also the finale.

I think there seems to be some internal issues going on, the degree of these issues i have no idea. But Toei has given them some flack in the past.

I know from his social media, he has a pretty rough year with some personal issues, no idea if they effected his work with TFS. Then you got Masako is the UK but he's been putting out lot of content on his channel about DB in general. Plus he and Geekdom are pretty much the main DBS reviewers.

I'd like to see TFS do Buu, but at the same time I'm kinda over DBZA. I still love TFS content though

The series is ending already? I expected them to try and hit the original DBZ run.

Damn that was good. Frieza still hiding somewhere, I wonder what they're saving him for? Loved when all the gods stood up.

Once again Goku takes another L lol

By the way... This thread is too dead. I'm dissapointed in you Ningens

Multiple cities in Mexico are live-streaming the next episode in public plazas with food and DJs. Probably going to be thousands of people showing up, quite cool.

^That sounds cool.

I read the spoilers for 130 and 131.

Last episode a death beam hits Jiren in the back and a bruised and battered universe 7 team member is there. I wonder if they'll have Frieza win and eliminate Jiren while he's distracted or the tournament time runs out, and it's a tie with one team member left each. I've been calling a Frieza victory for awhile.

It's frieza's only chance at redemption.

I really don't want that, I legit want frieza too win, and make the most evil wish ever.

Glad the "spoilers" for this ep didn't spoil everything. Had my jaw dropped at the end there, and man what an episode with the action and animation. Can't wait another week.

Same. Everything from the animation to the twists and turn's. I'm 30 and was running around the house after screaming kamehamehaaaa

That episode was fire. Especially the comeback of you know who had me   :hyper:

Well, you know what I think by this point. Nothing but power of friendship nonsense and stamina is a myth. Is this how bad the Fairy Tail Manga was? I only read what people said about it. Every time a character would be beaten and broken, and hopelessly outclassed by the villain, only to come back even stronger thanks to the power of friendship. I admit, the action was good. But it's kinda difficult to be excited, when there's just no power ceiling and characters keep powering up.

I lived *****- No. 17

Fun episode.

And it's not so much the power of friendship (despite it kinda being) it was Goku taking on the wills and hopes of others.

Goku isn't a hero of Justice, he's just a guy who likes to fight...and sometimes that does more bad than good...but when something threatens his friends/family he's not going to pull punches.
