Animation Dragonball HQ - Part 1

The first Episode of Super Dragonball Heroes has been released. And damn it was short. It's not really a full Episode, it was around 8 minutes long and insanely fast paced. It is really nothing but a promo for the video game. Outside of fan subs, you'll never have a chance to watch it. Because Bandai Japan are the ones that don't want Dragonball Heroes to leave Japan. The video games, the Manga, the Anime, nothing of it is supposed to grace the eyes of the western Dragonball fan. At least not legally.

4th times the charm

Huh... if that's legit. I... don't hate it? As long as they fix his backstory, I'd be ok with making him canon.

Geekdom, who covers Dragonball on Youtube, has pretty much an existential crisis. :funny:

TFS are in dumbfounded as well...

AND TO TOP IT ALL OF BROLY IS TRENDING WORLD WIDE

They're giving Broly the Grand Admiral Thrawn treatment...mother of god.

Time to see if anyone has shown Toriyama Cooler.

I honestly can't be the only one who saw the scar on his face and thought it was Yamcha for a minute. I'm not his biggest fan but Yamcha being able to hold his own against the SSBSB's (Or whatever the acronym is anymore :p) would be awesome.

:lmao: I watched both his videos today. I tend to enjoy Geekdoms reviews though.

I am actually really looking forward to reboot Brolly.

Yes definitely a Yamcha resemblance.

The first full trailer will be revealed at Comic Con. Very curious how this is gonna turn out considering Toriyama is changing the character.

God I hope so. Cooler is my favorite DBZ Movie villain and I'd love to see him as part of the main timeline.

Oh yeah, I noticed the striking resemblance to Yamcha right away. XD

I'm actually pretty intrigued. There were pretty interesting concepts about Broly in his first movie, it's just they decided to focus on the absolutely most ridiculous aspect of his backstory (the crying thing) and then doubled down in his subsequent appaerances in movies and videogames (where he devolves into the screaming brute that's so often mocked).

I'd love to see Cooler become canon, his shredder/predator form is legit

I'm curious to know how many times 10's has been played in the last 72 hours

I only cared for the 1st Broly movie, the 2nd was okay, and the 3rd they had no business making. They are redoing the character so maybe it will be like the 1st but better and I loved the 1st one..

It was diminishing returns. Broly himself was the weakest part of the first movie, which was otherwise well made, but his inclusion in the second movie basically just turned him into a caricature and cemented the notion that he was just a big dumb brute who could only growl out single words. Bio-Broly was...whatever the hell it was.

But if they go back to that first movie, actually take the core concept of what was essentially the Saiyan messiah/Anti-Christ and manage to actually give the character a decent motivation and personality then they just might have something. The return of Paragus is a good sign in that regard.

The first movie Broly had some character and some good lines "Then come and make me Kneel" or "Opps did i Just blow it up". And as a stand alone film...it was fun romp.

Second Coming was utter trash. And oddly enough I enjoy Bio Broly more because 18, Goten and Trunks are much more entertaining than Gohan, Trunks and Goten.

18 > Gohan.

And i agree completely that if you go back to that first movie and take the concept of the LSS as some kind of Dark or Fallen Messiah/Anti-Christ and expand on it by delving into the history of the Saiyans in U7 and boom you got a story. One of the reasons I personally love the original Broly movie is how scared ****less Vegeta was. because he spent all of the Namek/Frieza saga going on and on about the legendary super saiyan. And then we get to the Android/Cell sagas where all the saiyan characters can do it and the form lost its luster. Enter Broly and suddenly the legend in real and it rattles Geets to his core.

Though the real question is this: do they kill Broly at the end or does he join the greater ensemble cast of DB? I'm leaning toward the later.
