Let's hope Smith isn't censored...
I have to agree!

I hope it's true too because usually special features on dvds are not rated.

I dunno. I just think Smith is one helluva funny bastard. When I bought the DVD, An Evening w/ KS, I figured I'd just watch about a half hour of it and come back to it the next day. Nope. Sat there with my husband, laughing our freakin' asses off through BOTH discs. Didn't get much done that night, but I did gain quite an appreciation for Smith's "stand-up" routine and directness. Prior to that, I only knew him through his films. He's entertaining w/o being condescending, and he talks about the kind of things I'm interested in. So... yeah... having him comment about *anything* SV related will be quite a treat for me.actually as a comics fan I'm much more excited to hear what Meltzer and O'Neill have to say, loved Meltzer's work on GA though Smith's was good too, and O'Neill is just a GOD.
I think that may be commentary for Arrow not Justice, or maybe Smith and Meltzer will do Arrow and O'Neill will do Justice?

No, unfortunately. I haven't picked it up yet, but I've been wanting to. I heard it's just as good as the first one.Have you seen the second Evening with Kevin Smith?

Is Smith a fan of the show? I saw a bootleg vid on Youtube of Smith at last year's Comic Con and he just killed that crowd of geeks, so great.
The first 4 seasons of Smallville on DVD were much better than the last two box sets. Not in terms of episodes but the box sets themselves. With the last two box sets you don't get the leaflets, but instead they are on the DVD cases themselves, which I don't like too much. Also The first four seasons had waaaaaaaaaaaay better title intros leading into the DVD menu. Now the menu just pops up with a picture of Clark, no more moving images. I've also noticed how Welling is never does interviews much at all on the DVD special features which sucks![]()
Well thats my rant.
Honesty is the best policyDon't expect a reply from "the gods" anytime soon. They don't like honest comments.![]()

I didn't get it either. LOL
I didn't get it either. LOL
But hey, FWIW, there's a 500+ post thread already started on the topic here:

It's replete with all manner of pissing and moaning over the DVD extras and whatnot.
And yeah... I got the inserts in all of my DVD's, so I don't know what LW is talking about? *shrugs*
I didnt reply, because the first thing he had a beef with, the leaflets, isnt true. I got leaflets with both my Season 5 & 6 DVD set.

Well, yeah? Nice ones, in fact. You didn't?You both got leaflets![]()

Where'd you buy them? Are you in the US?No...
I didn't even get one with Season 2![]()
Lack of commentaries with the good cast members is a downer.I got a leaflet with my Season 5 DVD, and I'll probably get one with my Season 6 DVD.
What I DO hate, however, is not getting commentaries with Tom, Michael, or anyone else I actually care listening to.
I live in Ireland, so I got them here in HMV(dvd+music store).Where'd you buy them? Are you in the US?
LOL The "good" cast members being Tom & Michael? Yeah, well, can't argue with that. But that's less Warner Home Video's doing than it is the actor's decision, me thinks.Lack of commentaries with the good cast members is a downer.
The Green Arrow documentary is pretty good though.
Ah, that explains it. The R2 packaging was obviously different. That doesn't justify it, but I understand now.I live in Ireland, so I got them here in HMV(dvd+music store).
The episodes descriptions are on the DVD boxes themselves, which is why I prefer the layout of the older box sets.
There was a slot for the leaflet in my Season 6 DVD set, but it was missing. And I really doubt the store will take it back...I didnt reply, because the first thing he had a beef with, the leaflets, isnt true. I got leaflets with both my Season 5 & 6 DVD set.

Cmill, can we merge this thread with the existing DVD thread?
