E3 2014 - Part 1

ok so Twitch is showing stuff tomorrow and all week for the next 2 days at least there's our alternative to g4

I am going to die laughing if Nintendo comes out tomorrow with a Zelda that blows everything away.

That's a very uphill climb in my opinion. Aside from A Link Between Worlds, the Zelda series has been largely lackluster over the last several years.

Regardless, I'm really interested in seeing what they have to show.

Still nothing mindblowing from either conference for me but everything in general looks significantly better than last year and I'm not disappointed despite the games I was rooting for largely not appearing. Good progress for next gen here and I hope it continues next year, with hopefully a truly mindblowing title or 2.

Reminder that Giant Bomb's nightly E3 after show live streams have consistently been the best part of E3 for like five years running.

As a new Wii U owner, I am very excited about Nintendo tomorrow, but we are going to have to see a Zelda unlike anything else to take the thunder from The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight gameplay.

May as well check this Giantbomb afterparty thing out. Never tried before.

They have a bunch of industry people on as guests and have great interviews.
Sounds interesting. Maybe I will check it out. Thanks for the info.

They definitely did better presentation-wise. Unfortunately I have little to no interest in what they were presenting.
That is fair. As a three console owner since the Dreamcast days, I get excited by all the content. :)

See, if the big N gives us a new Zelda, Metroid, or FZero.....its done.

Do you know what time the Nintendo show is?

The Giant Bomb show starts at 10:30pm PST, so it's probably going to be too late for east coast people.

Usually when a game gets cancelled or indefinitely delayed, they kind of talk around it or change the subject or something, but Sony has repeatedly said straight up it's in full production.
I think it will be "in full production" until they officially cancel it, but we shall see.

How about UK people? :woot: Lucky I have the day off tomorrow.
