Oh my internet is too slow for video lol

here's what the director said : Quote:
[BLACKOUT]well we really love the idea of, an anthem is something that unifies a group of people , it's something that give's them Aaa sesne of purpose that's bigger then them selves .

And that's definitely something we wanted to imbue the ip with and to imbue the game &the story with as well . [/BLACKOUT]:End Quote

then Geoof K ask him if you can play this solo or not and healos answers this as well bot are at the end of the interview above.

I hope that helps you out.

I think this was the best looking game at the show (graphically).

EA and BioWare have revealed a 10-year plan for the recently unveiled Anthem, similar to the one Bungie and Activision have for Destiny.
“Anthem is a social game where you and your friends go on quests and journeys,” EA’s executive VP Patrick Soderlund told Game Rant. “It’s a game that we’ve been working on for almost four years now, and once we launch it next year I think it’ll be the start of a ten-year journey for us.”
The game was officially announced during EA’s press conference at E3 and got an extended gameplay preview during Microsoft’s conference.
For those who missed the reveal, Anthem is a shared-world action RPG that places players in the role of a Freelancer, exosuit-wearing adventurers who have the courage to leave the comforts of Fort Tarsis behind to explore dangerous new landscapes.
Players will jump into power Javelin Exosuits when leaving the city. These powerful pieces of machinery each offer unique weapons and abilities that allow players to jump, climb, fly, and swim around the game world.
Anthem is scheduled to arrive in early 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Anthem‘s big gameplay debut at E3 2017 focused almost exclusively on multiplayer, but the developers have revealed that they’re also committed to making an “amazing” single-player experience.

Corey Gaspur, Anthem‘s lead designer, answered a few fans’ questions on Twitter, and although he couldn’t go into many details, he promised that the game will be very “single-player friendly.”
Yes of course! The game is designed so you can enjoy an amazing BioWare story and explore an incredible open world alone or with friends.
— Corey Gaspur (@CGaspur) June 11, 2017

In another tweet, Gaspur declined to answer whether or not the game’s single-player mode would be offline, stating that it’s too early to tell.
“That type of detailed information will come sooner to launch,” he explained.

Anthem isn’t expected to release until the end of 2018, so we may be waiting quite a while longer to get those answers. When it finally arrives, the game will launch on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Apparently, Anthem is more of a Science Fantasy, than pure Science Fiction.

At E3 2017, Bioware unveiled their new open-world Destiny-like title Anthem. Although its release window is in the far future, EA's Patrick Söderlund is already quite excited and confident in the game's future, stating that it could launch a ten-year journey for the team.
Despite a long time before release, Bioware's Aaryn Flynn stirs up the excitement for Anthem in a recent interview with CBC.
“[Anthem] is in a genre we call science-fantasy, very much like Star Wars, very much like the Marvel Universe, where you see a lot of amazing things happening, but we don’t worry too much about why they’re happening, or how they’re happening, the science of it."
“Mass Effect is more our real hardcore science fiction IP. This one is much more about just having fun in a game world that is lush and exotic and really sucks you in.”

ant.jpg

He also states why they went with a co-op experience for the game: He wants to play games with his sons.
“Ever since I’ve had two sons, I’ve always wanted a game I can play with them, and this is my chance to build [it]…and I know [a lot of other people at the studio] are finding themselves in that life situation too, so it’s sort of an evolution of the studio as we all get a little older, a little more mature. This represents a chance for a lot of us to build that game we can play with our families.”
While Destiny was very weak in terms of story (although Destiny 2 promises to remedy that), Bioware is known for their epic storytelling. Fans of their single-player RPGs may need a bit more convincing before hopping into an online, multiplayer title. But with one of Flynn's closing statements reading, "It’s really nice for us to be able to tell a story that’s going to have cooperative elements and that you can experience it together," Bioware may just break the mold that Destiny started with.
Anthem is set to launch in Fall 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

For some reason I didn't properly clock that this was going to be mainly a multiplayer game.

well the video inter at the top and the second to last post above your post which post #36 article say's there is single player, if you want to go that way. So there's the option if players want that.

Yes that's what made me realise it wasn't mainly a single player game. For some reason I didn't realise when I saw the E3 show.

yeah well it wasn't easy to tell from that . and this is why so many people were asking question from the jump to get clear details . . which is awesome to hear we have both options. in stead of just one.

Better to have both yes. Is it a multiplayer Vs or co-op?

it's co-op where you and your three(<< so far) buddies of chose take on the game's world . it's kinda like how you did it in certain martal arts brawler like final fight and streets of rage . but this isn't a martial art's game. you might see other players but so far this is how they've described it. . til they say more.

Oh right that sounds pretty good. Like Destiny?

hmm even though some other gamer news outlet sites initially said it would be like that . from what it sound's like Ea and bio ware are aiming for more here . so I a bit hesitant to say that. especally after ubisoft's the division kicked destiny's butt and the latter are trying make up for with it's sequel. So I'll just say well see .

Ok. The Division was much more popular was it? I never got around to trying it (despite a lot of friends asking me to).

it was but it was due to certain game play elment like when you finish mission there with your agents it show's on you map that are is clear (no heavy grinding cause it isn't an MMo )and the people of that world start rebuilding that area with the support team that made up of worker that help relief wise I think they were called joint task something. and the other game play element was it was a closed off world where you play by your self unless you call in you buddies that have the same game in your buddies list.

unless you enter the certain zone where you mostly pick up loot & fight other players . that was the difference that zone and you didn't run into other players unless you were in a hub area with the Division.

The dark zone I think it was called. That big hack put me off where a load of players suddenly maxed everything out.

yeah that was the only place you ran into otehr player beside the hubs. most people don't go there unless your a certain level and have team of your own (your buddies you always play with )or met some in the hubs that you've gotten to know by play the game and are certain levels. one's that are decent peep's any ways. you play with who you that you can trust since there's that betray feature for the dark zone. so yeah....

But hey there's also that feature that those betrayer are hunted by every one in that dark zone. so they get what's coming to them.

this game hasn't went to that detail yet (telling us that) and I don't think it's be the same. so...

Cool. I prefer team co-op anyway. That's my favourite way to game actually. Huge fan of Gears 2 Horde mode and Mass Effect multiplayer mode, as well as co-op in general in campaigns.
