VERY COOL.......AND IT'S ONLY A COUPLE BUCKS.

I bought a new PC today capable of running Oblivion. I'm thinking about trading in my 360 version for a PC version.

Benefits such as expansion packs, and the construction set are a good perk, plus I've always felt more comfortable playing my PC Morrowind as opposed to the X-Box Morrowind, so I'm guessing it'll be the same.

ANY "EXPANSION PACKS" WILL BE RELEASED VIA 'LIVE'........JUST LIKE THE ONE I POSTED ABOUT ABOVE.

Mods are great fun, I've been killing things with my giant blade Dragonslayer from Berserk Anime:D

Like I said, I feel more comfortable with mouse and keyboard anyway. Besides, I'm not sure I buy the entire expansion pack on live thing. It sounds very ambitious, I'm not sure if they can pull it off. I mean, look at Blood Moon and Tribunal. Do you really think they can download them to thousands of people via Live? If anyone can do it, its Bethesda...but...it seems just a bit too ambitious and unrealistic.

Oblivion would hardly be the first game to let you download entire levels for games. It was done on the Xbox with quite a few games, and the Xbox360 is doing it even moreso, with demos, which are usually files as big as full-sized games.

Really not a stretch in the least, but if you like a mouse and keyboard, that's your best reason. Please mail me your Xbox360 copy of Oblivion, and I'll write you a check for $52.00 which will cover the PC version plus tax. We can handle details via pm if you're interested.

YES....I KNOW THEY CAN. THE THING IS, THE INDIVIDUAL QUESTS/MAPS THAT THEY CONTINUE TO MAKE, WILL BE EXTREMELY SMALL, COMPARED TO THE COMPLETE 'OBIVION' CONTENT. I DOWNLOADED BOTH OF THE NEW EXPANSIONS THE OTHER NIGHT, AND IT ONLY TOOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES TOTAL, AND THEY TOTALED LIKE 100MB BETWEEN THEM. IF THEY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF 'THE TRIBUNAL' OR 'BLOOD MOON', IT WOULD BE SMALLER THAN MOST OF THE PLAYABLE DEMOS THAT HAVE HIT 'LIVE' SO FAR. THE 'PGR3' DEMO CLOCKED IN AT 1.25 GB.

Well, I hope you're right for you console gamers. I'm officially switching to the realm of PC gaming. Besides, like I said, can't go wrong with mouse and key board when playing a game like Oblivion.

UGH........I USE MOUSE/KEYBOARD ALL WEEK LONG AT WORK; THAT'S WHY I HATE PC GAMING. :down:o

Apparently now the PC version of Oblivion wipes the floor with it's 360 counterpart, especially when it comes to visuals, performance and user interface.

Read and weep, 360 fanboys! Hahaha! :yellow:
Yeah, **** the Xbox 360. PCs are better in every way, to the point of making not only the Xbox 360, but all consoles --past, present and future-- obsolete.

Wipe that floor PC. Wipe that floor goooooood.

"Yeeees, give in to the hate...embrace the dark side of the Force, my young apprentice".

What sucks is that I got this awesome gaming PC, and the only game out I was looking forward to was FEAR. Since I didn't get it day 1, I've been waiting for a price drop ever since.

Now I know that FEAR will be on the Xbox360, with the expansion, for $60, while buying FEAR ($50) and it's expansion (probably $30) on the PC will just cost me more.

Not to mention I got Oblivion on the 360 since Gamespot said it was the better version. Now half the PC games I was looking forward to (Bioshock, others) are going to be on the 360, besides RE4.

So basically, I bought a $3000 gaming rig just to play Resident Evil 4.

What are PC-only games coming out?

For now Crysis and Spore come to mind. The PC version of GRAW is also pretty good if you got the hardware (especially since the campaign mode is even deeper and more tactical than the 360 version), but the multiplayer mode is bust so you might have to wait until a patch is released.

Many of the PC's great games (that are not established franchises) have a habit of coming up the left field without much hype or fanfare. Let's see what we get at E3.

Do you like RTS?
I was thinking maybe those were the only games at the moment not making such a huge jump into console world.

I like consoles over pcs because it's like, here's a set price you'll need to pay, only once, to play all the games we have to offer, for about 5 years. It's simple, and orderly. :)

PC gaming is an expensive hobby, but some of my fondest and most memorable gaming moments belong on the PC, a lot moreso than any particular console. Even though I like my consoles, I'll always be a loyal PC gamer as long as the good games keep coming.

I played around with those new plugins and textures last night. They are pretty good but there is one redundant grass mod and one incomplete menu mod from that zip file. You'd think that somebody would have actually double checked before they posted a 200 MB file.

In general I like the changes. The new cobblestone and tree leaves are really great and my only real problem is with the water. The new look water is clearer and has better overall reflections, but at times large bodies of water seem a little too unnatural looking...maybe there is a setting that I have to adjust.
