Elder Scrolls V - Part 4

If you rest for a few days, the shops should replenish their gold.

Yeah. Usually I'll steal and stock it in my homes chest. Then when making a trip to the thieves guild grab everything, and sell it at the same time. I just wait 48 hours for her to get another 1k gold.

So that if I get into a bad spot I have trouble with, I have a save ready to load, or one previous to go back to? It's also gotten me out of a nasty glitch in the Abandoned House quest in Markath

I always keep 2-3 saves in an RPG. Bethseda games can sometimes be gltchy. Like in Oblivion with Knights of the Nine where I was helping this guy look for his mentors body. We step in the ruins and he falls through the floor forever stuck, and I didn't realise until after I saved. Luckily I had a save outside the door, loaded it, and told him to stay outside. Or the time where I was juggling 3 characters, was tired, logged on my mage, and saved over my lvl 30 Paladin characters save. If I hadn't had a back up save I would have lost a lot of time and effort.

Also, ran into M'aiq the Liar, heh. Good to see him make a return, guess he's a running gag now....not as funny as he was in Oblivion though. Stole 3 Skooma off him.

I figured you can tell them to stay at home like other companions, but isn't marriage permanent? Unless you kill them that is, but can you even remarry? I just don't want to mess up on a permanent choice is all.

As for them being better than Oblivion, they are. It's just that the only partner I've had was still too anxious for a fight. It was the early companions quest with that one guy. Usually I try to stealth kill, and if the eye icon starts to open early I stealth back a bit until hidden again, and then try again. Twice the eye icon started to open, and he ran into the middle of 3-4 guys while I was turned around walking away, and suddenly he's kneeing and they're all running at me. A ranged partner sounds more appealing though.

Is there any magic wielding girls you can marry?

There's the dark elf at the college of winterhold you can marry

But you don't need to marry your companion... You can have both a wife and a companion... One doesn't cancel the other out.

Currently playing the game right now. Was JUST at Winterhold College when a big-ass Blood Dragon landed RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENTRANCE AREA! Fortunately, I managed to kill it, but everyone nearby was speachless when all was said and done. Does anyone have similar kind of awesome Skyrim tales like this?

I had that exact same thing happen actually. Edit: Not that Wilhelm's story. That's awesome.

A funny moment was when I left the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary... a hunter fell from the sky right in front of me. Insane.

For the record, the dragon scenario wasn't a glitch. He showed up without warning. And he wasn't dead.....

I had to fight a dragon in Solitude once. It's kind of hard to fight one in a city, because the space is so cramped and they always land on the buildings. It finally decided to attack the Imperial Soldiers in the town, and I killed it right in front of the Imperial Headquarters.

I also had to fight a dragon at the College of Winterhold. It wouldn't land in the main area, but it landed on one of the towers. The leader of the College defeated him before I even got to do any damage. Still got the soul though. :Awesome:

I just found the funniest Skyrim videos ever on YouTube, but they both have swearing so I can't post them :( If you're interested though, look up Skyrim is Epic and check the most recent Skyrim related Kotaku post. I was laughing my ass off.

Look up Youtube user Psychicpebbles.

I'd post them but I've already been in trouble for posting 'offensive videos' before
;p

Question regarding the Dark Brotherhood:
Is there any chance to destroy the Brotherhood except when Astrid kidnaps you? The game bugged for me and she was unkillable, so i went ahead and killed one of the criminals, so yeah seems like i screwed up according to wikia, but no 2nd chances at destroying the Brotherhood or something?

I think once you joined them...Astrid is flagged as essential, so...

Hey guys, do you have songs you like to sing whenever you're playing Skyrim?

I've just about formed my own soundtrack so far.

Here's what I like to sing when I see a dragon...

and when I use a Dragon Shout I sing this...

Oddly, I don't often sing songs during video games

I was playing Skyrim yesterday, and decided to go on a rampage in whiterun (dont worry o saved beforehand. After all the guards were killed this happened.....

I just got this game. What's the best thing to do first? The main story or side quests? I've talked to some people (in-game that is) about side quests & they seem a little too much for a Level 1. Should I go to the college first? Help a noob to the series out!

If you are just starting out, I'd do a bit of the main quest 1st.

Once you escape Helgen, follow your fellow escapee to Riverwood. From there, you'll be sent to Whiterun/Dragonsreach to speak to the Jarl there. He'll then send you back to Bleak Falls Barrow ( right next to Riverwood ), which is like the 1st dungeon of the game.

Before you head into the Barrow, though, speak to the Shop Owner in Riverwood 1st ( the guy who's arguing with his sister ). He'll ask you to retrieve the Golden Dragon Claw from the Barrows. It's a side quest, but you can kill two birds with the same stone that way.

The Barrows can be a bit tough for a Level 1 character, but by the time you clear it, you should have gone up a few levels. After the Barrows, head back to Whiterun/Dragonsreach, where you'll encounter your 1st Dragon.

after that, you can start exploring more of the side quests before continuing with the main quest. by then, you should be at a higher level, you'd have improved your skills and chosen a few perks, and you'd have acquired better gear.

that's what I do, anyways.......

Doing the mainquest 1st is rewarding as the game is harder then so the last boss fight feels more satisfying i bet, then it did for me lol.

Escape from Helgen. Go to Riverwood and talk to whoever you're told to talk to. Go into Riverwood Trader to get the Golden Claw quest. Go to Bleakfalls Barrow and play through that and get the Dragonstone. Then go to Whiterun. Keep doing the main side quest until you learn all of the Unrelenting Force shout (Fus Ro Dah). Then travel to some of the major cities (by foot/horse so you see more). Then get lost doing whatever you want.

My advice would be to follow the main quest up to the point where the Greybeards teach you about shouts, and then do whatever you want.

No idea lol. They just came out of the companions guild and started attacking the children.

I played like 20 hours without any dragon attacks, because i started with side missions. The random dragons didn't start appearing until i killed the 2nd dragon in the main quest. Maybe it was just a glitch for me, but i suggest you play some main quest first.

It's not a glitch. Dragons don't attack until you kill the one in whiterun.
