I respect your opinion. However, I don't agree.
It basically looks like World Of Warcraft with better graphics. And when I play it I don't think "this is miles above world of warcraft". I think "This is kinda like World Of Warcraft" putting it's art direction in front of Darksiders. I suspect it's probably the same with everyone else who plays it regardless of the artist involved.

Even though technically the artist who designed Darksiders, Joe Madureira, has been drawing comics with the exact same art style since before WoW. All his art looks like that, and has always looked that, for about the last 20 years.

In my opinion, that is more stylised than any of the WoW artworks, and it's most likely that the WoW lead artists were inspired by comic artists like him or any of the other stylised artists around in the 90's.

I'll probably get that Oblivion re-release. I temporarily forgot I had a 360... Plus...it's a steel book case. I'm a sucker for those things.

since the shoulder trigger buttons each control a hand, I wonder how 2 handed weapons will work?

will you have to press both trigger buttons to wield a 2 hander?

can you still equip a spell in one hand while still carrying a 2 hander?

how did the 2 handed weapons work in past Elder Scrolls games?

Thats a good point.

Iv always been disappointed that i couldnt wield a bad ass staff, Donatello style, in these RPG games.

Lol, I own 2 versions of Oblivion already, so I probably won't pick up the 5 year edition.

You know I was watching "How to Train A Dragon" and I remember Todd Howard saying that not all the dragons are bad.
They do something interesting with them instead of killing them on sight as a monster like every other game. I think you should be able to buy leashes and dress them up.

As it turns out, the person I bought that used copy of Morrowind from accidentally sent me the GOTY edition instead. :awesome:

Yeah, you had healing spells in the previous games. Never found much use for them though.

Why is that? I spammed the hell out of the healing spells in my playthroughs, especially my third one where I set the difficulty on maximum. I'm a stingy bastard in real life and gaming, so I save my health potions.:woot: In my 2nd playthrough I did complete the Knights of the Nine questline, and in the last mission everyone who dies has scores of potions on them.

I was referring to spells where you could heal others.

Well now I feel sheepish. I thought you were some badass who blocked every attack and had perfected the nauseating long-range attacks of Oblivion (save for electricity, which struck enemies immediately). I never used those healing spells either. The important characters can only be knocked unconscious anyways, so what's the point?

Also, I love the shout that summons thunder and lightning. I thought Storm at first, but I guess it's more like Thor, considering the culture. And I'm glad to see horses, but I'll have put in close to 50 hours into RDR this year by the time I get Skyrim (might pre-order or just buy it near the end of November if I have any games still to beat), so I hope they just rip off Rockstar hardcore, like Darksiders did the Zelda series. If you're gonna steal, steal from the best.:woot:

So, how many hours in one day do you guys plan on playing this when it comes out? I'll be picking it up a the midnight launch and not sleeping that night, lol.

I'll probably put in a few hours, at least, on the first night.......

and I'm sure 95% of that time will be spent in Character Creator..........lol

I would heal my horse mostly, and I would also use other assist spells on my comrades. Hope they make them more useful, but still not as necessary, in this next one.

There aren't enough hours in the day.

Likely none though because I probably won't be home until Thanksgiving break. I also may not have my computer upgraded then.

I will be extremely disappointed if, on the consoles, we WON'T be able to make at least decently attractive characters ( female and male ).

Oblivion was one of the 1st games I got for my PS3. Coming off of Dragon Age Origins ( where I was able to make an attractive female protagonist ), I was eager to jump into this new fantasy game and create another strong, attractive female hero.

I was pretty shocked by how bad the character creator was. I went online and saw all the mods available to PC players.........but they were no help to me as a console player.

That actually made me lose interest in the game and I didn't get too far into it.

so, hopefully, in Skyrim, I will have a different experience. Based on what I've seen, it looks like they've overhauled the character models, so I've got my fingers crossed.
