Superman & Lois Elizabeth "Bitsie" Tulloch is Lois Lane

It is really a shame that Teri was wasted on Supergirl. Would rather her play a bigger role over in this series.

The role she played was the one she wanted. She wanted to play a villain and didn’t want something that had her in Vancouver for a long time.

I don’t feel like she was wasted at all. She got to be the main villain of a season and chew some scenery. That’s more than most of these legacy castings get.

I wouldn’t say wasted but I thought she was really poorly written to the point where she was laughably awful in the S2 finale. One of the worst bits of dialogue was when Superman and Supergirl were about to square off and she starts a sentence (which escapes me now) and Superman finishes it. It was just so bad.

I'm kind of wishing it were Abigail Spencer who was cast as Lois instead.

Same age range and a similar type, but has that something extra about her than Bitsie Tulloch. But she would probably have outshone Hoechlin by miles.

Honestly, Elizabeth really resembles a younger version of Margot Kidder's Lois (in appearance) like how Brandon Routh does with Christopher Reeve, imho.

I've said this on Facebook that I'm glad Bitsie will not rely on past live-action interpretations of Lois Lane and that she will find her own voice, as well as researching journalists.

Not sure if resembling Kidder is a good thing

But I agree with the earlier post that Teri Hatcher definitely already played the sexy Lois Lane.

Now we're up for the soccer mom version.

I think Teri Hatcher was the exception. When has Lois Lane ever really been a sexy character?

Comics and some animated versions. Not so much in live action, but the role is generally miscast.

Some of the casting that never happened from dead projects over the past 20 years (Courtney Cox, Sandra Bullock, Evangeline Lily, etc) may have actually been better than what we got.

I’d say that most live actionLois Lanes have been quite attractive. Terri Hatcher and Erica Durance were (and still are) drop dead gorgeous. Margot Kidder looked a little like she’d been living a little rough when she was Lois, but even she was quite the looker in Amityville.

Bitsie Tulloch is as well and she seems not only perfect for the role of a Rebirth-inspired Lois, but she’s enthusiastic about it as well, which as someone said above, is extremely important.

Bitsie Tulloch looks fresher and more attractive than Margot Kidder. You're right that Kidder looked like she was a bit rough by the time she was Lois. Dunno what happened between Amityville and Superman. Was she missing some teeth at one point?

But when I say Teri Hatcher was a sexy Lois, she was more overtly sensual than the others and maybe a bit more exotic.

Excuse me as I request something very corny....

Give me a scene with ALL THE tv LOIS's. Gimmie Teri Hatcher/Erica Durance/Betsy all together. Even bring in Dana Delany.

Well, we've definitely gotten close to fulfilling your wish.

COIE was such a mixed bag, it does not hold up on rewatches, Eps 2-3 were great but the rest were a mess.

im still pissed we didn’t get a scene with both them as Lois. She got to slightly interact with Erica as Allura Zor-El on Argo as Lois in the opening and that’s it.

Crisis was full of missed opportunities lol I really wish after writing the scripts they’d had some independent bodies come in and read what they write. Crisis could and should have been so much better.

I will never forgive the writers for the disrespectful treatment of Batman (Kevin Conroy), the Smallville cameo and the lack of Supermen teamup's

I don't think she was wasted at all. She got to play the main villain for the season and chew scenery to her heart's content. Compared to other "legacy castings" throughout these shows, that was a huge role, imo.

I guess that's true. Wasted not the right word...but I always like it when they can interact with their new counterparts.
