Agreed. But it was logical to release this version first. More attention, more likes, more views, more hype.

As long as the release the trailer version, im okay with that.

Disney pulled something very similar last year with Pink's cover of "White Rabbit" that was featured for the trailers "Alice Through The Looking-Glass". However, said cover was NEVER released officially (Pink's other song for the movie was). I haven't been able to find out why but maybe since it was a cover for Jefferson Airplane's original song it could've been rights issues. Here's hoping this time things will be different.

So is Luke Evans not singing his parts as Gaston? I just watched that tiny clip that was released and it sure doesn't sound like him.

As far as I'm aware, everyone is doing their own singing in this. Luke Evans has a history in musical theater and (in the GMA interview) he mentions that he loved that this movie gave him a chance to combine his musical theater background with his film work.

Hmmmm, ok well maybe it was just the quality of the clip and his lip sinking job in the clip, it sounded nothing like him but as we know, a lot of singers singing voices are different than their normal speaking voice.

I've been listening to the soundtrack for the original film non-stop. I REALLY hope they at least come close to getting the songs nearly as good as the originals. It'll be a huge letdown if they're not quite as good.

Can I ask a question? I'm not trying to offend anyone here, but can someone explain to me why the hype for this movie is so big? I thought the animated movie was good for what it was, and this live action version looks like it follows it beat for beat more or less.

I'm not trying to put it down, just trying to understand what makes it special in everyone's eyes besides it just being a live action version.

Lol not one of these guys again. Listen, Beauty and The Beast is one of the most beloved films of all time. This new movie has a lot of talent behind it. This is going to be a film for a whole new generation. It's like asking why someone would get excited for a new Star Wars film. If you are someone who just finds the animated film "good" then you will never really understand it to be honest. I'm almost a 30 year old man and the animated film still floors me everytime I watch it and fills me with emotion. We are all excited because the animated film is one of the greatest things ever put to celluloid and they are breathing a new life into it in a way that looks both faithful to the original and beautiful in its own right.

It is a live action remake of arguably the best classic Disney film, one nominated for Best Picture. One which is beloved, for both its story and music, and was one of the highlights of the Disney Renaissance. It is a nostalgia bomb on the level of Star Wars and Jurassic World.

As to the film itself. It is actually 30 mins longer, so a lot more material. Plus Hermione Granger is in the lead.

This movie has an insane following. I mean from the original.

It has foothold in every single demographic. Women, men, young adults, adults, children, the over 60, etc.

I love the original animated movie. Saw it countless times as a child. But I'll wait to see this live version on free TV, obvious cash grab is an obvious cash grab, also I wish they had cast Emilia Clarke as Belle or someone else that's not plain pretty Emma and someone else as Beast.

I just don't understand how can the beast look so bad? The CGI is terrible in all trailers and spots. Not only his face. His body and movement. Terrible.

Beast its good. Maybe you watch in bad quality.

The CGI on Beast looks fine. There are some scenes of him that look better than others, like in the ballroom. I'm sure he would look a lot better if he were the only CGI character in the film.
