He has a human face. Its weird, all things considered, but the CGI is good. Its the design that is throwing people imo. The rest of him is full creature, then the face isn't.

If it were revealed that there was a subplot about LeFou being a nerd wanting to get with a girl, I would be rolling my eyes over that, too.

Whatever his preferences are, I don't need to see a subplot about it. Again, it's LeFou. Who asked for this? Haha.

Hey, if the movie just glosses over it real fast like it's a little detail, that's fine. I'm just hoping that not a lot of time is spent on it.

I can't deal with them making the character who is literally just a joke/fool and making HIM the gay character. Would have been better to just leave it out and not have it be such an insult.

I think the most likely explanation is that Cartoon LeFou wasn't gay. He admires Gaston (or pretends to) because he's a sycophantic little weasel and is using Gaston's popularity to boost his own cred, not because he's secretly in love with Gaston. He's a barnacle attaching himself to the biggest boat he can find in hopes of riding along, and that's it. No subtext required.

I agree that Disney should have just left his character alone.

It's not a subplot. They made it quite clear that it would just be a moment.

There are going to be changes from the original, that was inevitable. Belle is obviously not quite the damsel in distress she once was, the Beast seems to be more emotionally well rounded, etc.

Now I'm just imagining LeFou finding Gaston's mangled yet alive body after falling from the castle and bringing him back to his home to nurse him back to health "Misery" style.
