Episode 11 - "Fallout" - Discussion Thread

This is all just...:wow:

I cannot wait for the 22nd!!

I forgot to add this before. Does anyone else think the person that gave Mr. Bennet the order not to have Sylar dead was Mr. Linderman. I mean he already has a hand on Nathan and Nikki. Couls he be that "higher power"

There has to be something in that dream of Peters that im missing, something that probably wasn't noticeable before. It can't be that peter is the cause of the nuke itself. Its almost having to know what Future Hiro true objective was when telling Present Peter to save the cheerleader. By saving the cheerleader they may have unlocked a bigger pandoras box. I dont think Peter was supposed to get into any contact with Sylar, I think that is what is effecting Peter, not the radiation cause alot of people are saying.

this episode has really been kicking ass, I think Claire will end up rebelling against her father in some way, maybe running away. But I feel bad for her since he is getting everyone who knows about her, to forget that they know she has a gift. Its just making her feel like an outcast again and her Mr.Bennet is making it so he is the only one she can come to...

And we now know that Syler isnt the only threat out there, there are others out there who want more power for themselves.

And so nice to see whats his name getting control over his power.

OOOOOHHHH the black guy speaks and he is cool! So glad to know that he isnt Mr.Bennets lapdog 100% and Mr.Bennet has been mind wiping his wife, no wonder why she is so weird.

AND NOOOOO Eden is dead! I liked her, she had a nifty power, I knew she was going to die though. Atleast Syler didnt get her power. And I guess she wasnt as powerful as we all thought, looks like the black guy(really need to learn his name) helped keep Syler under control.

Oh and Peters vision was to cool seeing all the heroes finally in the same scene. I guess either Peter has gained a new power or whats his names hasnt left him yet. But he causes the explosion huh...interesting.

SOOOO glad that they showed us a promo for Jan.22, that was seriously kick ass.

This was a great episode.

I think maybe Peter "blows up" because he is absorbing all of these powers and isnt able to control it so it consumes him and makes him explode.

I don't know if this has been mentioned here or not, but I think that Claire was needed to try and keep Peter in check. That's why she was rushing up to him, but then saw she was too late. He could siphon off her healing power to keep his powers from going out of control from absorbing too much and not knowing how to control them properly and causing him to explode.

The only reason I could see why he blows up is by absorbing Ted. Yet no matter what the other post say, there is no way he could of had contact with him. The reason I think he is sick is because he absorbed Syalrs power, and its corrupting him. You can see this is why because of him freaking out seeing Sylar in his cell.

I hope Zach isn't completely gone. He's a great character, and would really hate to see him go.

Peter only has to be exposed to Ted to copy his power, so its possible that they come in close proximity with each other.

But I think part of the reason he is sick is because of Sylar and since he has so many powers, add to the fact that he has copied all the other heroes powers that he has come in contact with. To much power for him to handle.

But a good theory that I have heard on another board is that Claire would be able to save Peter when he blows up since he would have her regeneration power to fall back on thus the whole "save the cheerleader, save the world"

And we will still be seeing Zach, Claire will see him at school and will probably try to get him to remember or become friends with him again.

Yet that would totally contradict the way Future Hiro came up to Peter. He mentioned peter had a scar, so that has to do something with upcoming events. Future Hiro knows that with the bomb going off causes a time warp of events to begin. Theres just not enough info on why the cheerleader needed to be saved.

Not unless the nuke incinerates both of them to the verge of not enough cells to regenerate.

Also I believe that Ted will be able to live through the explosion, if he is the one to cause it. (leaving out the events of Peters empath vision)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned how empty New York was.

Maybe the 'save the cheerleader' part didn't just refer to saving her from Sylar, but maybe from saving her from her Dad, he does want her mind wiped after all.
He may think it's for her own good, but it could have disasterous effects.

Well that is a good point, they never said exactly what she needed saving from, it looked like her dad was going to protect her from the get go from Sylar. There has to be more key turning events upcoming that unlocks more of whats happening.

Maybe Claire needs to be kept safe so she can talk some sense into her Dad. She might be the only one that can turn him away from the path his actions are taking him down(even if he thinks it is the right path, that path could lead to the world being endangered).

But future Hiro also said that saving the cheerleader would change everything, so if they saved Claire like they were supposed to, then it's almost likely that future Hiro's reality doesn't even exist anymore.

Has anyone thought that the whole "save the cheerleader, save the world" stuff was actually refering to Jackie? Maybe Claire was supposed to die, but by living she has doomed us all. Perhaps Jackie, even though she had no powers, did something to stop all the bad stuff from happening in the future.

I really think he meant this saving. I mean Sylar would have been invincible if he got Claires powers. So I think now there is something bigger in play...

anyone ever wonder if maybe Sylar gets loose and tries to take Ted's power but messes up and then...BOOOM...???

I have a feeling Sylar is going to encounter another one of those "others" that seek power like himself.

What a Awesome Episode!! I think we see Linderman in the promo for 12 and a fliker image of Claude and a Dog?

I ripped the ep on my Vaio so, I'll upload some stills from the E12 promo to Flickr... so, you can have something to keep you a lil satisfied till Jan 22
I love how in the promo they used a petri dish under a microscope to type the words

Excellent screen caps and Gifs, arigato

just finished watching it, awesome as always. thank god there will be a long break till the next episode since i wont be in the states for most of the winter break lol.

and Zach no longer remembers that he's friends with Claire... that pretty much sucks. they were such a cute friend couple, he was so cute... LOL i they'll end up as friends again.

im glad there will be more beef between Claire and her Dad as she starts adding things together that her Dad is not all what he seems.

and the ending is wow. for sure there gotta be a twist to it and wouldn't just directly tell you that Peter is the bomb.

"are you on the list?" ^_^

Where is Dread with the weekly recap? I missed it, and I kinda want to know what happened. Damn alarm clock not working

I had a feeling it was going to be Eden that'd be going, but what I want to know is how Sylar was able to not be tricked by her again. He fell asleep when she told him to at the highschool, and then he was somehow magically able to break the glass...

Was it a trick all along to get her powers? Hmmm...

And poor Claire :( I feel bad for her that she lost Zach's friendship.

Really good episode btw. I hate the winter hiatus!!!

I'm putting my money on Eden to die.

Damn, if I only had put actual money. :(

What a really dark turn Mr. Bennet has taken, mind wiping everyone and having done so several times to his wife. Crazy. Still, he's really one of my favorite characters.

So about Sylar grabbing Eden, was he always able to use his powers in that room? Was he just waiting for the right moment? I don't think that's it, because I'm sure he would've been more then happy to burst out and kill Mr. Bennet.

Also that was a fantastic cliff hanger, Peter is the bomb, literally. I loved the different looks on everyone's faces. Especially Nathan, it's like he had so much disdain for Peter.

Well, lets get ready for the bombardment of Ads saying: "Are you on the list?" Gotta say, it's a little more catchier then "Save the cheerleader, save the world."
