Eragon

I have seen Brokeback but did not like it and it had nothing to do with its message. I thaught it was boring and well Jake is not my favorite actor. I am a straight and i will admit i was not eager to see Heath and Jake knocking boots in the tent but again ist not the reason. My comment was ment that some critics don't like fun movies like per say Underworld . I liked the movie The Departed and who wouldn't like that. I'm just saying i wouldn't put stalk in what they say if i am going to go or not. It will be if i liked the trailer. I say if you hate it already don't go or even look to a critic to make you go. If you want to go then go see it based on what you want to do.

Ha ha thats so funny i forgot to laugh. Nice to see someone with a sense of humor anyway. Back onto Eragon for a moment. What if anything will make or brake this movie. Fantasy filmS have there hits and misses. I liked the book and hope its better then people think and i think it is. saving all judgement until December 15th or 16th not sure which day i'll go. I MEAN No movie not directed by Uwe Boll could be as bad as D/D was. I think the special effects will make ita enjoyible. I making it clear. Never was i expecting an oscar contender here. That is for Blood Diamond.

this movie does have really nice visual effects! from what i've seen on tv

Check out some movie clips of Eragon over on Shurtugal.com If not there they have three over on moviefone. There are 5 clips in all over at the eragon book and movie web site.

I'm not too excited for this movie, it looks meh. I'll check it out though.

Only people who like fantasy will go see this. Its nota s big as Rings,Harry Potter or Narnia. Eragon not going to be a surpise big hit like Harry Potter was. The best it can do is 130 million in the states with 300 mill world wide. I'm not expecting a juggernaut this december in the fantasy market but i am likeing what i am seeing and i am going into this as a enjoying it because i am not expecting to see rings but a fun special effects movie.

Seen some character posters around today but not all of them, so anyone got any pictures of them all, there cool.

I didn't like brokeback because seeing two guys cuddling up makes me nausias.. :)

The premiere is in London on the 11th for Eragon -

England 1 USA 0

Seriously though that does surprise me a bit

I wouldn't say that the success of Harry Potter was that surprising considering the hysterical success of the books. At least it wasn't surprising for me. As for Eragon I do agree that it seems to be for die hard fantasy fans only. I haven't read the novel, but judging from the trailer it loooks like your typical fantasy story for kids similar to countless of other fantasy-stories. Could be worth checking out for the simple reason that fantasy-movies are still something rare compared to other genres that has flooded the market lately. Seems to be the shortest of the big fantasy-movies released in recent years to; around 100 minutes according to various sites

They made it shorter because they can most likely show it more per day. I personally think Jeramy Irons has redeemed himself in this from D/D . He and Dijmon Housnou have saved this movie foir me. Also i liked the one clip with the guy playing Murtaugh.

I haven't read the book, but I am planning on seeing the movie. It doesn't look like anything great, but it does look like it will be fun to watch.

It doesn't really look good at all, but I'll go see it with my friends.

the movie is supposed to be an epic dragon tale movie and its only like 105 minutes long:(

Anyone remember Never-Ending Story? That's what it reminds me of, and don't dare say that movie sucked.

Epic in this sense does not mean 'long', it just means it's a classic type narrative with a hero and a journey, etc.

So it doesn't right?

Eragon and Saphira talk to each other telepathically. That's how it was done in the book, that's how it's done in the film.
