Error Code (aka The Great PSN Easter Outage of 2011)

Weird, I have never encountered a company that takes good Friday off.

Being Good Friday isnt whats special. Its bc Easter is on a Sunday and there is no work that day anyway, so its observed on the previous work day, which happens to be Good Friday.

Well I think its safe to say it wont be back online until monday or tuesday at the latest

Why? It's not like there's an extra day off this weekend because of Easter, it's just another Saturday/Sunday. Unless ripping spinal cords out and smashing frozen people with it online is an Easter tradition I was unaware of.

I know alot of my family and friends that relax Easter weekend and playing Playstation is one way they relax so they will be super pissed they still cant play online

The pagans may have had something like that for their Spring Equinox rituals, but I'm pretty sure the Christian church put a ban on it when they came into power. But hey, if you look hard enough you can find people like being bitten by poisonous snakes during their Sunday service, so how should I know...

Anyway, it looks like Jesus has PSN beat when it comes to how long it takes to be resurrected. It only took him three days, but PSN has already been down for 5.

What have you guys been playing during the off time? I have been playing a bunch of RDR.

I have been playing Killzone 3 and finally beat it on Elite last night. Some of the levels were a ***** to beat, but I finally did it. I've also been playing a bit of HALO: Reach on my XBOX as well. I never could get Netflix to work on my PS3, so I just watched it through my XBOX.

I destroyed Portal 2. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to that Steam intergration, and now it's pretty useless to me. I'll still link it up in hope that future titles take advantage of the service and I can still get some Steam achievements but boo all the same.

I've been revisiting my PS3 favs all this month too. Played through all of MGS4 with the cutscenes, continued to replay Uncharted 2 (on 70+ single player hours now), beat Dead Space 2 on hard core, played the Castlevania DLC. Gonna go through Modern Warfare, infamous 2, and Dead Space again soon.

I was going to ask if you got that DLC before the PSN went down. Was it worth the wait?

Replaying Uncharted 2 is a great idea. I think I will start a new play through as well.
