VERY happy to hear that they've gone all practical. The more I hear, the more I want to see it :D

Definitely. The old legends of Hollywood are being relegated to TV roles and mediocre movies...Al Pacino - Jack and Jill :(

We need fresh blood desperately. And I'm so glad the likes Jane Levy and Jennifer Lawrence are around for the future.
we need more male stars seriously how many great young actresses have come out as of late lol

carey mulligan
jen lawrence
saoirse ronan
Abigail Breslin
emma stone
elle fanning
mia wasikowska
brit marling
Hailee stienfeld
rooney mara
chloe moretez
Shailene Woodley
etc.

I watched the Redband trailer again. I was bored so I started to read some of the Youtube comments.

Some kid called it "hipster horror".

I can't stand people who don't know what they're talking about.

Yeah, it's usually best not to read youtube comments. I mean, I do it all the time... but I shouldn't. :o

I just make sure that I don't bother replying to any of the fools on there.

[In a posh lame British accent]
It is hipster, awesome, brother...cheery o, pip pip!

I like this particular portion:

The cabin looking right cracked my cynical shell, but seeing a rusted out Oldsmobile covered with many years worth of rotting leaves busted that shell right the hell off. The Classic is not only in the movie, but its placement and the state it’s in opens up a big question: Is this a remake/reboot or is it a sneaky sequel?

I've been saying for awhile now since the "plot" leaked that this might be a continuation with new people.

i forgot this movie was even happening, and every atom of my being is completely against every possible aspect of it....and then i saw the red band trailer....and...um...damn....this kinda looks freaking awesome.

I'm powering thru all these set visit reports. I can't believe how psyched I am for this movie. A year ago I never would've believed it, but this is now my most anticipated movie of the year, right up there with Man of Steel. I'm shocked I feel that way, but this movie looks sick, sick, sick. I just never believed that they would forgo CGI, that they would go balls-out, that they would swing for the fences, but goddamn, it looks like they may have done it. I just wish this could be released unrated. That would so awesome. Advertise the crap out of it, force the prudish theater system to lay this movie. I wanna hear people scream.

The tongue-cutting scene still gets me. The whole lead-up to it, with her showing the girl the knife then just going for it! UGH!!!! . . . . I can't wait to see this movie!!!

I'm not feeling this one. No prejudgment, but I haven't been intrigued by the trailers.

I admire they've done all practical effects with no CGI, but it just seems like the movie is purely seeking to up the gore ante in horror, and the Evil Dead backdrop is just a means to achieve that.

Why didn't I know Jessica Lucas was going to be in this?

I'm really against remakes, but this does look pretty good. I mean, the original wasn't exactly high class art. But,Evil Dead 2 is my all time favorite of the series. I don't see this remake topping it.

Luckily, I have managed to forget most of Batman RIP.

Saw the trailer in front of A Haunted House and it was the new green band trailer. It showed some new footage.

Evil Dead is my favorite movie of all time. It was the first and only movie to freak me out as a kid. I've seen it more times than any other movie.

When I was a kid, I would always dream about writing and directing a remake of this movie (weird kid, I know, shut up) and this is almost exactly what I would do. This remake is so dark, psychological, mind-bending (drug detoxing)... it has everything I've always dreamed it could.

I never see midnight showings of movies, but I'm taking April 12th off, getting the most beautiful girl I know and planning April 11th around seeing the first showing... and probably going again that weekend with the second most beautiful girl I know (but don't tell the first).

Needless to say, I'm BEYOND pumped for this movie. I've been waiting 15 years for this.
